I often see shots on the news of fans greeting a team when their plane arrives. When will they get here? Where do I go? This team should know how much appreciation people have.

NBA teams don't take buses on trips

This is the modern 21st century NBA with young stars. They would drive down I65 in their Lambborgini's before they get on a bus.

So I'm guessing no one here knows their travel plans? I actually like the idea of greeting them. This team deserves some love.

It just seems kind of pointless to take a plane from Indy to Chicago.

Then again, I'm not a NBA player and it's probably better security.

Thanks for the info though.

Most players probably want to take a plane from Conseco to the airport

Kind of sad that none of us have an answer to the main question of where they would arrive and when.

Something to work on for next year. Would be nice to meet the team at the airport, even if it's just Area 55 representing.

You should see the gigantic bus they use just to drive the bulls players from the Fieldhouse two blocks away to their hotel. They don't mess around.

On plane its a half hour (I've gone that route a couple of times but from Chicago to Indy)

On bus its like 3 hours and given how bad Lafayette looked last night I'm glad they took the plane.

You're kidding right? This is a frontrunning sports town our stadium was composed of Bulls fans(mostly) in Game 4 you think they're going to greet the team coming home?

I take it you forgot the 11 people showing up when the Colts lost the SB and they came home.

(Personally I don't think you're less of a fan if you don't show up to greet them its a stupid tradition if I ever heard one not everyone has that kind of time)

We did go to the airport terminal last night. It was awesome we waited around for about an hour until they got there. So to kill time we played a game what car belongs to what player. There was a Hummer with Texas plates. A Rover with no plates. A truck with North Carolina tags on the back and a camo UNC plate on the front. A lexus with Kentucky plates. A Mercedes Benz with Kansas Plates. Okay so the game was not that hard but, sure was fun. The guys all came out of the terminal and greeted us all hung out to chat a little bit. We got to pet King. it was a blast Coach Frank Is still the man. He looked as if it was his worst day ever but when he saw us he smiled from ear to ear and said WOW! http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/221738_745656811193_58217604_37069424_3399425_n.jp g

I am glad we could be there. I was upset that there was only 6 of us there but Its not like you just get to walk into the airport like the old days and see the team. It took an inside source to get directions to where they land. so I am sure they were surprised to see anyone at all out there. Thanks to Chris Denari for the well drawn out map on the back of his head shot! lol

Don't know who that one lady is, but it looks like she got some players to sign her shirt, so the players weren't too down to refuse an autograph request. Still, not so sure I would have pushed the envelope and asked anyone to sign after a loss like that.

I agree that there should be a better and coordinated effort to meet the team after a season-ender on the road. However, this would have to involve better sharing of the "inside info," which may not be possible.

Yeah It was last second I called allen at the end of the 4th quarter and he told me to go find Denari. We got directions and figured out who was going and we wanted to make sure we made it in time. Because if we were late then Brickyard and PG would never have been able to slowdance.
And actually Roy mentioned you. He was like where is Pacero And I said hes Sick and Roy says pheeew good that guy gives me the creeps. We all agreed and then Roy told us the story of how you sent him those pictures in the mail.
