When I shoot at the games I attend, I try to capture the essence of what it felt it like to experience it. The notable experiences, the general feel of the place...Well, I got a pretty good feel for Bulls fans after sharing an arena and a couple basketball games with them.

Looking out from the bar above Home Court (which was full of Bulls fans drinking) back out to the main lobby/ticket windows area, which was full of Bulls fans...most of whom had apparently been roaming downtown, making their mark on Indianapolis...

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_3505.jpg

I don't AT ALL think the ratio of 60/40 in favor of Bulls fans is overstated...I would say it was at least that.

I found it hilarious when a young punk Bulls fan was trying to dog me down and he was asking how many rings the Pacers had...I told him just as many as the Bulls team has...and the Pacemates have....and I have....ZERO. (Not certain, I guess, I think Posey for us has a ring or two, and not sure if any current Bulls players do, but not really doubting one or two of the vet role players might have a ring...) I just laughed hysterically when he was basing his trash talking on the Jordan era and their six rings...conveniently, he and his little punk friends left with 30 seconds to go or so...This guy apparently is living in the same reality.

Balcony across from our side was a SEA, an OCEAN of red....

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_3585.jpg

To be fair, this area seemed to be predominantly Pacers fans...

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_3669.jpg

The opposite end, by the Bulls bench and tunnel, on the other hand....

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_3672.jpg

Didn't really mind these Bulls fans at all...Welcome at CFH anytime, ladies!

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_3778.jpg

The good natured stuff? LOVE IT! No problem at all with them coming down to root on their team, boisterously so, in fact...Please, go for it. No problem. Just be cool about it. Not that difficult.

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_3782.jpg

To be fair, the first fan I saw get ejected appears, by wardrobe, to be a Pacers fan...Not sure...

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_3875.jpg

When Boomer and the Power Pack were shooting shirts and little basketballs into the crowd, rather than making a young Pacers fan's night and just giving it to a kid, the Bulls fans started throwing the stuff back. SERIOUSLY?! Man, you people are DUMB.

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_3989.jpg

"Who, ME?!"

"Yeah, that was a question you shoulda asked yourself a couple minutes ago, dummy. Enjoy outside; thanks for the donation towards getting more talent on our team next year."

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_4105.jpg

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_4110.jpg

Yep, getcher crap. You gotsta go too...

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_4119.jpg

Ray Charles comes to mind...

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_4120.jpg

This is in club, right below us...These people, while obviously fanatical, were JUST FINE. Not an issue at all. I would say thanks for being normal human beings, but I don't like to make a big deal out of stuff YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO...but thanks!

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_4163.jpg

No problem here either...Hey, would love to have more Pacers fans like this guy...I consider myself a pretty big, pretty passionate Pacers fan and I've never been to a road game, and definitely haven't worn a Boomer head at even a home game!

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_4379.jpg

Judge for yourself...not sure of the context, but willing to give them the benefit of the doubt...

Sadly, this was AFTER THE GAME WAS OVER! The two women were jawing at each other, and the two men were just standing there laughing about it...

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_5316.jpg

How do you talk to somebody who is 30, has the maturity of a 15 year old, and is acting like a five year old......who's been drinking for the last two and a half hours??!!

http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/heywoode1/042311%20Bulls%20hitFans/IMG_5317.jpg

The men had to step in and settle things down....

"C'mon, honey....did you forget to take your pills?!"

Judge for yourselves, but my impression was that the majority of the Bulls fans in attendance were fine...there were just so many of them, the percentage of bad apples, and later, DRUNK and MAD bad apples was higher than I've ever seen...

If this **** went down with a bunch of Pistons fans, there would have been another throwdown. Watching the game on TV, I saw a group of Bulls*** fans outside Conseco doing the broom dance, and wanted to drive up to Indy and beat the hell out of all of them myself.

I think the "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" sign is more appropriate for a Pacers fan than a Bulls fan.

While I hate to see Conseco become a sea of red, I agree with some of your kinder words towards the more respectable Bulls fans (its also nice to see that there were Deng, Rose, and even Noah jerseys as opposed to all MJ). I've only been able to attend Pacers games in Orlando or Charlotte for the last 8 years, so I guess a part of me feels for visiting fans. However, the most like-minded fans I have been around in these visiting arenas is one or two at most, not 60% of the arena. Either way, we can only hope that this changes in the next season or two, and those of you in the Indy area need to continue to do a good job of attending games if possible (and I know most of you do). Thanks for the pictures.

Reminds me of all the Bears fans back in '07 who bragged about the '85 Bears. I even heard some 18-20 year olds brag about them...people who weren't even alive in '85.

Actually, you would not want to have more Pacers fans like Bulls Head Guy and his buddies. I was sitting two rows behind them with my daughter. They behaved themselves most of the time b/c they were sitting in front of two Guardmen that were shipping off to Egypt. But sometimes this didn't even bother them. The Guardsmen were mellow probably b/c they were non-partisan; I was the one yelling at the Bulls fans to sit down repeatedly. First nicely and then sternly. But the Guardsmen would eventually either get tired of them or of me yelling at them, and tap the guys on the shoulders and tell them to sit down when they didn't listen to me the first time. Bulls Head Guy was a big guy, and probably wasn't doing a lot of stuff intentionally (might have done nothing at all if he wasn't liquored up) but he blocked the view of several of us in Sec. 18 when he was standing up, and we did have to put up with a few rounds of "Pacers Suck." However, the behavior of these guys was exemplary compared to the other incidents I reported in other threads.

Every raucous boo of a questionable call against the Bulls from the Conseco Fieldhouse crowd bugged Pacers forward Danny Granger. Every chant of "M-V-P!'' for Derrick Rose made Granger wonder, WTH?

"It kind of pissed me off actually,'' Granger said of the large and loud contingent of Bulls fans who showed up Saturday to see their team lose 89-84. "Every time we huddled as a team, I said I want to shut the Chicago fans up.''

It was that bad! Yes! The season ticketers did sell them because Bulls fans were walking the streets offering no less than $125 per ticket for super nosebleeds. The Scalpers had no tickets!!!! If they did, it was no more than one or two pairs! I walked the streets for an hour until I got a "good" deal on some lowers (actually bought them from a Pacers fan). Ended up with Sec 1 Row 21 Seat 14 and 15 for $350 which isn't that bad considering I could of probably instantly resold them for $600. Still way more than I expected to pay but it was an awesome game and atmosphere.

I was at the game and I couldn't believe how many Bulls fans there were. It was appropriate that the Pacers wore their alternate road uniforms for the first time this season in CFH. It really felt like a Pacers road game.

I was in the balcony in section 205 and fortunately it was predominantly Pacers fans. However, section 206-210 were about 65-70% Bulls fans. There were entire rows of red up there and I learned from a friend of mine that several of the fans bought group tickets and came down in Coach buses for the game.

The few fans in our section were great though. They cheered when the Bulls scored and booed when the Pacers were at the free throw line - completely normal stuff. They weren't rude or obnoxious other than a couple of guys who threw t-shirts back from the balcony. Surprisingly they didn't get thrown out because the ushers were no where in sight when this happened.

Overall, it was probably 50/50 Bulls and Pacers fans. The Bulls fans were just way louder and banded together more. They really had their chants down pat. Indy fans need to step their game up. We couldn't get a "Let's Go Pacers" chant going even though there were hundreds of Pacers fans in our section. The only chant Pacers fans were down with was the good old DEFENSE chant.

I was in the balcony across from the Pacers bench and we had a Bulls fan ejected in our area for throwing debris over the balcony. I thought the security personnel handled it perfectly. They had 2 security guys at each end of the aisle and after the guy continuously refused to exit, told him that he would signal a five count on his hand. If the guy still refused to exit after the count, he would bring in a uniformed officer who was waiting just outside the exit. And, if that was necessary, he would be handcuffed and would be taken from the fieldhouse to lockup.

After getting to a three count, the Bulls fan suddenly decided that he would exit peacefully.

Overall, I thought the Bulls fans were very rude. I cannot tolerate fans who drown out the national anthem, and the Bulls fans are the worst I've seen in this regard. It seems to be a carryover from Blackhawks games. They are in the habit of making rude noises throughout the anthem, but are particularly known for totally drowning out the last 20-30 seconds.

We had a news crew in our section interviewing fans. They interviewed a couple of real young boys 2 seats down from me. The two brothers were about 4 or 5 years old and the camera was probably 3-4 feet away from the during the interivew. A Bulls fan on her way out to the concession or restroom took off her jersey and started waving it inches in front of the boys faces, at times draping it on the boys heads. Making matters worse, the woman offered an obcenity-filled tirade regarding her feelings about the Pacers to the camera as she waved the jersey. The Pacers fan sitting right behind me grabbed the jersey and immediately tossed it to the security guy near the exit tunnel. The woman and her companion did not return. The security guard later explained that he did not return the jersey and... from his perspective a rivalry makes it okay to mess with adults, but young children must always be left off limits.

To be honest with you, it broke my heart when I was there.

That is worst thing I've seen in the Fieldhouse. Way worse than a sea of green seats.

I thought there would be a ton of Pacers fans. Much more than any Bulls fans that came, like it was Thursday.

Last game I was at, I was 5th row for Pacers-Celtics. The drunk 30-year-old Celtics fan in front of me didn't know ANYONE besides the Big Three on the roster, so conversation was impossible, and because being stupid wasn't enough, he tried to fight my friend's 14-year-old brother.

Screw everything about bandwagon fans. If you're a diehard, knowledgeable, loyal Bulls fan...step right up. I don't care. You've earned the right to cheer. If you're a douche stuck in that 1985-1995 Chicago timeloop and you only know Michael Jordan and Derrick Rose...go die in a fire.

God, I hate bandwagon fans. They belittle everything good about sports.
