I am happy today because:

1) We don't have to deal with what our PD-equivalent brethren in Sacramento are going through now.

2) Even if we don't survive the first round, I take great comfort in knowing that our season has been extended by at least nearly 5% this year (finally) and we can follow our team, this season, that much longer!

I'm happy because with the game and the rain I

1) Have something I'm really looking forward to tomorrow and

2.) I'm not going to mow the yard when I get home.

I really really REALLY want Hans to posterize Noah. For some reason I just can't stand him.

I'm happy because:

1. Yes, we're not losing the team (yet).

2. PLAYOFFS!!!

3. No matter how we do in the playoffs, we won't lose the chance to draft Perry Jones. We still have a year to trade up to pick him.

I want Paul George to posterize everyone. EVERYONE.

I'm happy because the team finished the season with the best record since Rick Carlisle was on the sideline in 2005. ....even though when Vogel took over it was the worst record since 1989.

The team is better now. There is no longer a question about it. There was a time when Travis Diener was the PG and Britton Johnson was the PF.

But more than anything, the future for the Pacers is truly pretty bright. We never did draft that high, but we may have a special player in Paul George. Clearly the way that young man plays and his body type indicate he could be a dominant player on both ends. Just a rookie and the sky is the limit for him. The best news is that he may never miss the playoffs if things continue to progress for this team.

Finally, Mike Dunleavy gets a chance to play in the playoffs. Good for him.

Yes, whatever happens today and this week, the future is bright. And Dunleavy is a class guy, so I'm happy for him as well.
