Very good Pacers defense to start out. Paul needs to realize that bodying a player out of bounds off the baseline is not as good as real D.

This is a really messy game on the offensive end.

Both teams are fighting on the defensive end.

I'm not sure if its just good defense or really crappy offense

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 07:23 PM
Hibbert clumsy, Danny typical terrible shot selection.

At least DC can hit and the guys are playing D, I guess.

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 07:26 PM
Come on, PG. That's just terrible.

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 07:26 PM
Bogut with 8, Hibbert with no real sign of wanting to do anything on offense or defense in this game.

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 07:27 PM
Bench Hibbert for the rest of this game. I'm not sure I'm overreacting.

Trophy
04-01-2011, 07:28 PM
The offense is a disaster and the defense isn't looking too good now.

Roy needs to build up a body like Bogut's.

He looks so weak against him.

yoadknux
04-01-2011, 07:28 PM
9 turnovers.. wow.
and i think around 4 for hibbert alone

Well..the defense has been good.

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 07:29 PM
9 turnovers.. wow.
and i think around 4 for hibbert alone

And most are unforced. Collison with a terrible pass, Tyler stepping out of bounds, Hibbert being the softest 7'0+ center in the NBA.

TheDon
04-01-2011, 07:30 PM
We might match the bucks 22 point half

righteouscool
04-01-2011, 07:30 PM
11 turnovers and the first isn't even over yet. Incredible.

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 07:31 PM
Wow, Bogut is just destroying Hibbert. Within the rules and outside of them. Why is Hibbert SUCH a wimp?!

vnzla81
04-01-2011, 07:32 PM
Redd is back to destroy the Pacers

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 07:33 PM
I can't believe, in a game of this magnitude, that's the kind of first quarter the Pacers come out with. Ugh.

Trophy
04-01-2011, 07:35 PM
I know they're playing some good defense, but we can do a better job caring about keeping possession on the offensive end.

Some of the passes are just out of fear.

Roy needs to man up.

TheDon
04-01-2011, 07:35 PM
Pretty unacceptable so far.

ilive4sports
04-01-2011, 07:36 PM
4 TO's by Roy and 1 each by the rest of the starters...

I guess they know who the weak link is.

Really?
04-01-2011, 07:40 PM
I have a feeling that we are going to let Rush go and then he is going to go to his next team and become an all star....

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 07:40 PM
Take note, PG, that's how you dunk when you're at the rim. Don't be flashy. Just put the damn ball in the hoop.

We probably won't tinker with the lineups at this point but rush in as starter and paul back as a bench player I think would be best.

Yeah, and then as every other 5th man in the starting unit Rush would start to score less and we would have to read post after post telling us how to trade or cut Rush next year, just leave it the way it is right now I think.

Paul George has been an enormous disappointment as a starter.

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 08:00 PM
Call it both ways, refs. If that's a charge on Granger earlier, that's gotta be a charge on Gooden there.

Dr. Hibbert
04-01-2011, 08:03 PM
Collison is such an intriguing player. I think he'll continue have rough spots because he's still so young, but he gives you a lot to work with on offense.

Jon Theodore
04-01-2011, 08:42 PM
Yeah Tyler is a joke about jumping on defense, it's actually amusing. He seems like a relatively smart guy, i'm sure he'll improve there. Right now he plays with too much intensity sometimes...which is clearly better than the alternative of not playing enough intensity.

That's as much negative emotion as I've heard Denari emit. "What are you doing?!?"
Exactly. That is how bad that was. Denari was calling it as a fan.

This is a huge 2 seconds for our season.

Really?
04-01-2011, 09:18 PM
what the heck, lol that was horrible ball managment.. all he had to do was look at the clock wait until it was almost down and throw it in the air... the clock was only off a second... that was stupid

Hold the ball til there is 1 second on the shot clock, fire a shot that hits the rim. Game over. What???

Couldn't you just throw the ball like 25 feet in the air? It'll take about 4 seconds to come down. .

exactly if they don't foul you just wait till the last possible moment and send up a high arching shot that at least takes a second or 2 to hit and then be rebounded, then game over.

Last few seconds were way more dramatic than they needed to be.

Couldn't you just throw the ball like 25 feet in the air? It'll take about 4 seconds to come down. .

There was a 2 second difference between game and shot clocks. If you shoot a high arcing shot it had to hit the rim. Otherwise an airball turns the ball over with 2 seconds left on a shot clock violation.

They need to review film on that play because it won't be the last time this year that they need a strategy like that in a close finish.

I can't get over how dumb that pass was.

Games aren't lost on one stupid decision. We lose this game without Brandon.

I thought everyone played well today. Good team win. It's also important that they feel confident about winning close games. And they've won a few lately.

Goodness, this team has trimmed about 10 years off my life expectancy this season, specifically the last week...

SO glad we got the W and eliminated the Bucks (for all intents and purposes) and distanced ourselves from the Cats... But WOW we really need to learn to make those "killer instinct" type plays... I'm looking at you Brandon.

Good win. Let's continue strong.

No, because if the shot doesn't hit the rim the clock stops when the shot clock hits zero, so the bucks would have gotten the ball back with 2 seconds left.

gotta love being a fan of a young team. :bang:

they did generally play better down the stretch than usual, in spite of shooting poorly. but yeah, pacers are not the sharpest crayons in the box right now.
