View Full Version : Coming to Indy for Thanksgiving...

There's a 4-game homestand during that time (Orlando/Boston/Minnesota/Charlotte).

My wife has never been to a Pacer game, and I've only been to one in Conseco (Rim, you rock). I don't have a ton of money to blow while I'm on this trip, but I'd like to take in a game if I could. If we see a game, it would probably be the Orlando game (fits our shedule best).

What's the best value as far as tickets? When's too late to buy? Where do people like to sit? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'm also probably going to catch the game in Oakland. That'll be two live Pacer games within two weeks... I'll be in heaven.

The forum party will be that weekend too. Any chance you will still be in town Saturday night?

Yeah, that's when we'll have the party; you should drop by!

Symphony on the Prairie might be a little chilly, but I found this for you instead......

And you can go to a sports bar on Turkey Day and watch the Colts play.

On Saturday night I'm supposed to be on my way out of town.

Where's the forum party? The closer to the southeast (I'm driving to Cincy), the better it would work out.

I'd hoped to see a Pacer game, but as it's shaking out, I really don't think it's gonna work. Next time, I guess.

Northeast side of town.

However, it is very, & I mean very close to 465.

Party starts at 6, ya gotta eat sometime & you should never travel on an empty tummy.

See ya there!

Northeast, close to 465, that's where I grew up!

Are we talking castleton, or what?

This sounds pretty good... I doubt we'll stay for the whole thing, but we'll almost definately drop in for a bite to eat before the trip.

"We" would be me Anthem and Anthem's_Wife.

Yep, Castleton. The Pizza King not far from I-69 on 82nd street.

Man, that's great. That's my old stomping grounds. I graduated from Lawrence North, which is like 5 minutes from there. I got married at East 91st Street Christian Church, which is maybe 4 minutes up Allisonville Rd.

We're going to spend a big chunk of Saturday at the Children's Museum... kinda tells you about my maturity level.

I doubt we'll stay for the whole thing,

Many people have said that. Few have actually managed to leave.

The Pizza King is where the old Sizzler was.

I'm not sure how long it's been since you were in the area but there use to be a Venture where the Burlington Coat Factory is, just north of the Pizza King.

The Red Lobster has been there for ever, just to the south.

You should have no trouble finding the place, as Doug has mentioned, you might have trouble finding your way out.

I may be back Thanksgiving weekend also. Not sure yet though.

Anthem, let me know what you think about Oakland, I'm going to be getting tickets soon.

First weekend in December, right? I'm definately there.

If you buy my ticket, I'll pay ya back.

What day is this again? I will be there :)

My wife and I are always back for Thanksgiving itself and make it to the game that night. Unfortunately, we have other committments for the weekend and won't be around for the party Saturday night.

We should keep track of everyone who is planning on getting to the game on Turkey Day and try to hook up somewhere beforehand.
