While losing 95-84 to the Utah Jazz tonight, the Pacers tonight
looked like a team full of young players who may have been
less than prepared to play well just after their GM reportedly
tried to trade two rotation players. Perhaps that wasnít the case,
but itís hard to think that it was merely poor execution and an off
night that caused a 27.7% shooting first half. And since there is
almost nothing about this single game that is worth discussing nor
remembering, I was curious as to whether or not the players
thought it was just one of those nights or whether the trade talk
was a factor. I asked both Danny Granger and Brandon Rush, who
was reportedly minutes away...CONTINUE READING AT 8p9s (http://www.eightpointsnineseconds.com/2011/02/game-57-recap-indiana-barely-shows-up-one-day-after-two-pacer-players-were-minutes-away-from-never-showing-up-again/)

Josh and Rush need to glue themselves to Frye and VC. Ditto for Collison.

Pacers4Life

I hope we beat the Suns by 15... but Frye hits like 4 3's and Gortat gets me 8 boards.. I need some fantasy production.. :/

I'm going to try and listen to the game as much as I can.. Words can't express how upset I am every game that's not televised..

I'm willing to sacrifice all fantasy production, however, as long as the Pacers get the W.

players are not used to playing noon games (for the suns it is like a 9:00 AM game) so it could be a strange game. Figure the unusual start time will help the home team more

DemonHunter1105
02-27-2011, 12:57 PM
That buzzer beater was incredible. I still remember pounding my chest and screaming when he hit that shot. Then to hear how depressed and dejected the Suns' announcers were just made my night.

I hate noon games and the fact that it's not only FSI is going to be annoying.

This is the game we need to win if we want to get into the playoffs.

No slacking off to the Suns.

Despite DC's recent struggles, I think he's going to step up against Nash.

Outside of that, we need to step up the defense because the Suns can get hot offensively given uncontested looks.

Just need to step up the defense.

This is how the Suns can be dangerous.

Who are the Suns TV announcers? Their voices are super boring to listen to.

DemonHunter1105
02-27-2011, 01:22 PM
The only way I can follow what is happening is by looking at the score at the top of ESPN.com. The audio LP doesn't work for me, the TV companion won't load, the ESPN gamecast freezes when it comes up, and I can't listen through WIBC's website.

This sucks.

Tyler has more rebounds than the starting frontline combined.

I think the theory is that Josh helps get Roy going. Tyler is not very good at passing, at least at this point in his career.

And we need Tyler's scoring in the 2nd unit.

They just weren't missing anything in the 1st and also had 4 turnovers. Once they missed some shots the rebounding evened out a bit.

I wonder this too, especially when Hibbert is just as bad as McRoberts. I think alot of it has to do with Frank trying to keep Hibbert and Josh's confidence up and the good chemistry of the 2nd unit.

I don't get how this team plays with no effort.

Frank is doing his best to insert energy and excitement out of these guys and they say they're exciting and that they will play hard, but it looks like they don't like to back up their words with action. At least most of the guys.

We're fortunate enough the Bobcats got worse with their trades and the Bucks look like they're going no where so we're probably gonna get in safely.

Games like this really make me reevaluate Granger. Watching Grant Hill totally own him on both sides of the ball... Grant at 40 or whatever is way more versatile and a better defender in this game.

Only thing I'm concerned about is with Defense, but Lance would be playing with AJ and Paul, and Foster in the middle. So it wouldn't be too bad.

But I agree. Dahntay needs to be a spot player. I like him, but he's just scary on offense.

:spitout: We agree on something?! To me for those into baseball, it's like the difference between a good closer and a good starter. Closers generally lack a 3rd or 4th pitch to keep the other team off balance in long stretches. However the 2 pitches they do have can be dominant in very small stretches.

I noticed Lance had the ball poked away by Nash a couple times and had some issues there. I remember people laughing at me when I said his handles weren't very good. Nash isn't exactly good on defense, but he was able to get his hands on the ball. That's a bad sign.
