Mine has always been the Celtics every since Bird was there although I'm not crazy about some of the guys on their roster right now. I've always kind of liked the Bulls as well.

The Lakers which is strange since they cost us a title and I have always hated Phil Jackson and Ron Artest.

But their history has always interested me through the years regardless of who's there.

I love watching the Grizz because of Z Bo, Heat cause of LeBron.

Clippers especially to watch EJ and Blake.

LA and Spurs (Kobe and Manu) but I love Nash too.

I'll be honest, I don't watch too many of LA's regular season games. I know that team too well, it's not worth the frustration.

Probably the Lakers. I have always liked their uniforms and I like how Kobe knows he's the villain and doesn't really give a ****. Lebron tried to become by villain by bolting to Miami but he ain't got nothing on Kobe.

I also follow Cleveland, but more because a good train wreck is fascinating to me.

Agreed although the Cavs were more interesting during their losing streak now leave it to them to screw up their draft position by winning a few games...

Has changed for me every few years. Last was Portland until they got rid of Pritch and started mucking up the team. Now it's Memphis, who as of tonight are the 8th seed out west.

I really dont have one but if I would have to choose it would be Denver now that Melo is gone. There 2nd team off the bench is better and more talented than half of the teams in all of the NBA's starting lineups. They will be fun to watch and I have always liked Afflalo and Lawson, plus who doesnt like Birdman. Good deal for them in the long run.

I like OKC because they seem to not only be good, but have class. No big hot shots on the team. Durant has to be the most humble guy in the league. Westbrook is a great young man as well.

I don't have a second favorite team. I do root for certain players to do well who aren't on the Pacers. The majority of them having some ties to the state of Indiana. I'll root for Eric Gordon, Gordon Heyward, Mike Conley, etc.

If they are playing against the Pacers, I don't care who they are, I root against them.

I would have to say the Spurs. When I first became interested in basketball and the NBA I lived in Jasper, IN and we didn't get Pacer games on our cable. I would religiously watch the NBA on the major cable networks and NBC. That was about the time of the great Spurs/Rockets, games I was hooked.

I'm a little embarassed to admit that I am a huge closet Rodman fan. The days of him in San Antonio were my favorite. Probably a tie for my favorite non-Pacer between him and David Robinson... polar opposites I know.

Luckily my family moved back to Indianapolis relatively soon after, so my love affair with the Pacers could finally take off.

I don't really have a 2nd team. After the Pacers, I just root mostly for individual players, it use to be the Mavs with Dirk and Nash, as a young kid it was the Hawks b/c of Spud Webb.

Add another one for me. I loved the Kings when Mitch Richmond was there, but the second he left, I quit caring about them (and didn't even care to latch onto the Wizards). So it became the Clippers, since, honestly, I just felt sorry for them, but that 2006 run, coupled with the young talent they started getting starting with Thornton has them as my second favorite team.

Almost almost became the Blazers a couple years back, but when EJ became a Clipper, that put an end to that.

I have an eye on Dallas's results because of my compatriot Dirk. I have also slight sympathies for Boston. But I am not watching any of their regular season games (unless they play the Pacers). It's crazy enough to have 4 hours of sleep twice or three times a week when the Pacers play..

It depends on whether it's during the season or postseason. During the season all of my attention goes to the Pacers. IF the Pacers don't make the playoffs then I do route for other teams...Chicago I tend to pull for...sometimes Orlando depending on the matchup. Out west I am a Kobe fan so I pull for the Lakers in most matchups. I used to like watching SJax out in Golden State and I still watch him in Charlotte every now and then.

Whatever team Rick Carlisle is coaching at the time, followed by whatever team Larry Brown is coaching. I also have liked Utah (didn't like Malone at all, though), but will take some time to evaluate them in the post Sloan era.

So, right now, at least I have only one choice for second favorite team, and that would be Dallas.

The Atlanta Hawks

Steve Smith is my favorite player of all time. I loved him at Michigan State and then followed him to the Heat, but the Hawks teams were my favorite. Mookie, Augmon, Kevin Willis.

Between Boston and Phoenix for me. Dallas is amazingly fun too. Used to watch lots of SacTo, but they are terribly boring to watch this year. And watched a lot of Clips early on, but now the novelty has worn off, and with Gordon injured, it's a blowout fest, so tuning them out for now.

Dallas !!! Kidd still has game, Dirk is the Diggler, Chandler is having a break-out year, all purpose Marion .. Terry is clutch plus JJ Barea is fun to watch ... I almost forgot they have a pretty good coach and the best owner in Mr. Cuban !!

EJ is more important than most think the MVP of the Clippers . His injury killed the Clippers season

:bump:

After watching the Nuggets yesterday night....I'll have to say that I'm growing fond of this "no all-star but a whole bunch of lunchpale hardworking" lineup that Karl has to deal with.

They are doing VERY well now despite the loss of Melo-drama. They remind me of the Billups/Rip/Prince/BigBen Pistons a few years back when they started to create some noise....specifically a Team that started out with no real "brand name All-Star that had his own shoe commercial" but had a lineup of solid Players that didn't care for the limelight but simply played hard under a solid Coach that knew how to use them.

I said it before....but I would not want to be the Team that plays the Nuggets in the 1st round...they are going to be tough to beat.

Have always been a bulls fan and love watching derrick rose play. One of the most fun guys in the game to watch. After Chicago no doubt OKC. Only because they are ridiculously fun to watch and are extremely athletic. In my mind OKC is what every NBA team needs to look like to win a championship.

I don't really like the whole "2nd favorite team" thing. The emotional attachment I have invested in the Indiana Pacers since I was 7 years old far and away exceeds any feeling I have toward any other team in sports.

That said, I do find myself watching Minnesota on nights when the Pacers aren't playing. They've got a couple of interesting guys on that team (Love, Beasley, Flynn, Telfair, not to mention Rambis) that I like watching.
