John Wall is going to be a very good player. At least Washington has that going for them. That was a dominate quarter of basketball. Starters played much better defense that quarter. And our shots fell.

when he shows confidence he truly is something to watch. sometimes when he's playing with the starters though i feel he's either too passive, or the offense sort of phases him out.

Regardless of the score, i really like the way this Pacer team is playing. They are moving the ball, they are getting up the court and pressuring the other team with the speed of the game, leveraging their bench, and they are playing on both ends of the court. How did we lose to Detroit? That must have been painful for those guys.

The thing is, we need frontcourt depth too. We have a glut of wings and I think it's fairly apparent that Rush has fallen out of favor with the front office. If it were just a Rush for Landry swap, that would be a really nice deal. Not the solution, but a nice test run with Landry.

I think you slip McBob to backup C. Then save Foster for the playoffs by playing him minimum minutes, only getting serious burn when we need him (i.e. when we play Orlando)

don't think jordan or lebron were ever the shooters george was coming out of high school/college. most players seem to struggle with that added distance their rookie seasons. i honestly think you'll see a dramatic increase in his 3pt % just next year. most of it has to do with playing time, repetition, and confidence. being that wide open, i think paul is still thinking about the shot more than just shooting it.

Sacramento and New Orleans closing in on deal that would send Carl Landry to Hornets for Marcus Thornton and David Andersen10:23 p.m. ET via ÜberSocialMarc Stein
STEIN_LINE_HQ

MIAMI -- The Sacramento Kings are involved in serious trade talks involving forward Carl Landry and did not play him in Tuesday's 117-96 loss to the Miami Heat.

"We're involved in some fairly significant discussions," Kings coach Paul Westphal said. "We thought it was prudent not to play him tonight."

Landry was traded from Houston to Sacramento just before last year's trade deadline in a three-team deal that sent Tracy McGrady to the Knicks and Kevin Martin to the Rockets. Landry is in the final year of a contract that pays him $3 million this season.

"I've been there before, right now I'm happy to be a King," Landry said. "I'll give my agent a call. Right now it's all talk."

Landry is averaging 11.9 points and 4.8 rebounds. Tuesday was his first missed game of the season.

I wonder who we were offering for Landry. He makes $3M, expiring contract. IMO it'd have to be Rush, right?

Man, these game threads are brutal.

It's a wonder we have won a single game this season. With the awful collection of players that should not ever get another minute, and the majority of the players we have not even trying or caring if we win or lose.

I thought we played pretty well except for a stretch of really bad turnovers. Our defense still needs a lot of work, but we are coming along nicely. We are defining and solidifying roles and looking more like a real team all the time.

Washington's not a very good team, but they were over .500 at home. Winning on the road in the NBA is hard....... anywhere.

We have now won 4 out of 6 on the road (Only Losing to Miami & Detroit in OverTime) after losing 14 out of 15 under JOB.

Be happy people :happydanc things are so much better, nobody is ever going to be prefect. The hyper critical rants of ever possession and turnover is gets very tiring.

I think Danny had the most quiet double double i've ever seen a player get.

My third year in a row going to DC to see the Pacers and we FINALLY win!! I don't have to go home like a loser again. Read the whole kinda negative thread, and it was a little sloppy, but we finally won in DC! I was confident we would this time, but not the last two seasons. Big difference. Things are looking up.

I dont think this has been mentioned yet, but Darren Collison had ZERO (0), turnovers tonight.

Were you there last season when we won by a point?

He played like himself again and it looked like it was a small slump.

We need everyone doing well, especially our PG.

Good win. Any road win is big for us.

No I was at last game of season where we lost, but Roy had career high and JOB benched him. Never seen Roy that mad.
