I read numerous times on this board about how some of you will buy a ticket as soon as Obie was fired. I did not write that but I did feel that way also. Well, I decided to buy a couple tickets and take my daughter to the game tonight. Can anyone tell me how the atmosphere has changed at Conseco since Vogel was named coach? I went to the Houston game but havent been to one since. I am excited to see how much different the atmosphere is at the game tonight! Any thoughts?

We've only had one home game since Vogel took over and that was during the ice storm. The crowd was very small that game, but the ovation for Vogel was great. I think tonight will be a better game to get a feel for the atmosphere.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

As BPump, who has an uncanny resemblance to Josh McRoberts at first glance, put it, there's only been one game, and a lot of people were scared off by the ice storm. So not much of a barometer for the difference in atmosphere so far. But the Vogel applause was pretty strong, especially contrasted to the shower of boo's that O'Brien was getting toward the end of his tenure.

Yea, the Ice Storm would make a difference. I watched part of the game on TV and noticed plenty of empty seats. I cant wait to see what it is like tonight!

Did they announce the coaches at the same time like they did with Obie? I heard they did that because of all the boo's that came after his introduction.

Coach Vogel was announced by himself. Yes, Michael Grady has said that he introduced OB with the opposing coach as to deflect the boos toward them.

Edit: I don't have a link for that other than hearing it on MG's morning show.

This is not a negative post and nobody is complaining. There always has to be one wiseguy who isnt smart enough to read the posts. If you like, some of us who know how to read can read it to you next time.

I had heard they were announcing JOB with other coaches. I didn't notice at the Orlando game last Wednesday, but at the NJ game Friday he was announced separate and got a ton of boos. It caught us off guard because we hadn't been to the last 5-6 games and didn't realize, I guess, that he was so disliked by people not on PD.
