If Zeke can get Portland to take Allan Houston for Abdur-Rahim, he gets my vote for executive of the year.

No kidding. I'd rather have an unhappy 'Reef sitting on the bench for one season than Houston's insane contract.

Forget the contracts, since (1) they're both way overpaid, and (2) we're talking about Portland and NY, so these teams are so far over the salary cap that money isn't an issue.

I'd rather have Houston.

I can't see Portland taking AH. It would have to be a package including KT.

This is all fine but Orlando's behind the times. Supposedly, while A-R would still like a trade, he has kissed and made up with management - he will report to camp and play for the team though it isn't his first choice.

Houston has 3 years left. I think it is an issue. No way this trade happens without some major incentive from the Knicks.

ps. Austin and Scot for Shareef works... Not that it would ever happen. We're already so weak inside. But

Well, since I'm playing with Real GM...

Indiana trades: PF Austin Croshere (5.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.7 apg in 13.7 minutes)
C Scot Pollard (1.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.2 apg in 11.1 minutes)
Indiana receives: PF Antonio Davis (8.8 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.7 apg in 32.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +2.1 ppg, +2.5 rpg, and +0.8 apg.

Portland trades: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (16.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 31.6 minutes)
Portland receives: PF Austin Croshere (5.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.7 apg in 77 games)
C Scot Pollard (1.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.2 apg in 61 games)
Change in team outlook: -9.6 ppg, -1.6 rpg, and -1.1 apg.

Chicago trades: PF Antonio Davis (8.8 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.7 apg in 32.1 minutes)
Chicago receives: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (16.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 85 games)
Change in team outlook: +7.5 ppg, -0.9 rpg, and +0.3 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

I'm not particularly fond of Antonio and A-R is the best player in the trade, but AD gives us a little more size inside. Plus his contract is up 1 year before Austin's.

Humm... Works with Cleveland and Z instead of Chicago and AD. Of course, I don't think that makes sense for either Portland or Cleveland...

Portland is set to have some major cap clearage next year, I don't think they'd take on Houston's contract.
