As long as Brandon Rush doesn't disappear like he did a couple days ago on defense, he should (SHOULD) be able to somewhat hinder Monta's offense. I hope.

I don't get why you guys always argue so much about Rush vs. Dunleavy, and Tyler vs. Josh. They are all Pacers. I am happy when any of them contribute positively in some way. They are really just too different to compare on a 1 v 1 basis.

Personally, I feel like Rush should get wayyyyy more plays run for him in the first offense because he has shown ability to crossover and drive to some extent and we all know he can shoot the 3. Not to bring more JOB hate to the board, but I feel like he deserves the blame for not trying to get Rush more involved when he is such an efficient scorer.

Dunleavy in my opinion should get most of the backup SF time. When he is the focus offensively and has the ball in his hands, he can be very dangerous for the second unit.

Either way, I get sick of people arguing about it. We all know Dunleavy is more aggressive offensively, and Rush is a better defender. Everything after that is more of a personal preference, not just that one is obviously better than the other.

BTW, Udoh is still raw and his injury slowed his rookie development but to me he's like a more athletic Roy, at least on defense. He's going to be a nice, if not actually a star player. I will admit that it looks like George will end up being better than him, but maybe not by much.

Agreed. Some people have so much venom towards players I feel like they root against them to be capable of saying "see, I was right" more than they cheer for them because they're a Pacer.

In one case I saw one of those people say they didn't even get excited when Dunleavy tipped in the ball to win the game over Denver. I'd bet if that was Rush, they'd have crapped their pants with excitement. I thought that was quite telling.

That actually is the biggest problem for the Warriors. Too many easy to please fans flocking to see a bad product means the ownership hasn't felt the incentive to pay the price to truly rebuild the right way. Love their loyalty but I personally am not going to be part of that stupidity anymore. Not until they show me that they're actually serious about winning, as opposed to just pushing out a product that entertains and makes them some easy money.

They'll eventually look to move to SF because that's where they'll be able to make even more money. Still a ways away but it's definitely on their minds.

I'm trying to think of an elite C or PF that Jim could stick James on to ruin it for us. Maybe David Lee? David isn't that much of a force so it might not be so bad, we shall see.

Agreed. Danny can get his own whenever he wants. Ditto for DC.

Hans and Josh are looking good offensively as well.

Stats also suggest that Troy Murphy was a good starting power forward.. They also suggest that Josh McRoberts is a bad player.

Murphy was probly the worst defender in the league. Look at Murphys stats this yr.

Yikes. Ellis made Rush look silly there.
Yeah, that was bad a**. Rush also didn't like the finishing play, you could see his body language. One thing I love about him is how personal he takes the defensive end.

Following up CDash which I quoted earlier, I really do love that court, love the GSW jerseys this year, love the breakaway warmups. Sharp looking team.

I was out that way a few months ago and really wanted to get back for this game. Wish I had considering the snow here and the crowd there, plus the rotation we are seeing.

So what was that TJ tweet, I didn't see Sookie clarifiy?

LOL.

That actually is the biggest problem for the Warriors. Too many fans flocking to see a bad product means the ownership hasn't felt the incentive to pay the price to truly rebuild the right way.

They'll eventually look to move to SF because that's where they'll be able to make even more money. Still a ways away but it's definitely on their minds.

I agree. Over/under on W's move to SF (and renaming from Golden State to San Francisco Warriors): 6.5 years?

Aside from the Monta Ellis breakdown towards the end, I thought we played pretty well.

Posey could probably actually do a decent job on Lee, not that I want to see it though..

Posey is pretty good with non-athletic, jumpshooting, footwork types. Still, I'd much rather have Josh on him. MUCH RATHER HAVE JOSH ON HIM. (sorry for caps)

I guess I'm the only one that thinks it's ****ing awesome that they can fill that place up on a Wednesday night against a weak non-conference team.

Good for those fans.

Wait, what? Why?

I've always liked mike. He just isn't as athletically gifted as granger, rush, and george.

I see Posey hasn't played yet....guess he starts the 2nd half.

He gives Granger and Dunleavy breaks if we go small, tonight he probably gives Tyler a break if we don't because Josh is playing center. I am pretty sure Posey plays tonight out of necessity, unless Granger gets a crap load of minutes. Its our best move tonight unless Danny plays every minute tyler sits at the 4.

Yeah, no team in the league needed a makeover more than GS. That blue man **** with the lightning and the orange was awful. The new court and uniforms are among the best in the league.

Griffin's self pass off the backboard was nice.

21 points, 7 rebs at half. That 47 points won't be his career high for too long I think.

Dunno. Depends on a lot of things. They need a vote and they'll need to gather up the financing from investors, which can happen. Plenty of people here with money.

No way SF (or any city in NorCal) is every going to publicly finance an arena in this day. Just don't even bother asking.

TBH, Rush and Granger don't rely on athleticism on offense. They're shooters that use triple threat and picks to open up drives for them.

Yeah, but don't you think the new owners will want to move the team across the bay to SF? I'd have to imagine that for marketing purposes alone that renaming the team would reap nice rewards.

Double edged sword. I mean, take their hats to to their loyalty. It's quite something. It really is.

But in all honest truth, it's part of what has kept them down for so long. They have gone too easy and too soft on whoever has owned the team. You have to pay a price to rebuild the right way. The ownership hasn't felt the incentive to do that because they can still draw a crowd despite putting out a poor team year after year.

Seriously, this crap wouldn't fly in LA, Chicago or NY. At some point, your fans have to set a level of expectations that forces ownership to put out a good product. Warrior fans haven't done that.

Is the move even a big deal in that area, I mean SF is just across the bay. I'd think plenty of people cross the bridge into Oakland to watch them. I mean its literally like a 30 minute drive for most people.

Or is Oakland the like New Jersey when it comes to New Yorkers?

Bay Area is a metro area of 7 million people. Fans come from all over. Oakland is but a small fraction of the fanbase. It just so happens to be where they play (for the time being).

Let's continue to see a no Ford, Posey, and Solo game tonight and season.

Dunleavy can annoy me at times, a lot of his defense, some of his really ugly shooting nights, and some of the turnovers. His contract is crippling as well.

But he busts butt off the ball on offense and often makes quality plays on that end, so I don't mind him too much as a Pacer. I certainly don't hate him.

TJ...well I at least hate what his game is. I'm really just sick of seeing it. I'd rather see Price play around the same level (and usually better) just due to the interest in seeing if he can improve his game.

I mean I'm not a big Tyler fan (his game I mean) but good lord I've stuck to my guns that I want to SEE HIM TRY at least. I want him to have the chance to prove me wrong and win me over. What's the point of just having him on the bench for this team?

I don't hate Posey, he just catches the heat due to the whole odd McBob fiasco.

And like many of you I don't think AJ, Josh, or Tyler are stars waiting to save the day. But that's not what they are supposed to be. You've got Danny and DC for that. Then Roy and Rush borderline to become that too. George looks very promising.

So all we need AJ, Josh and Tyler to be is solid backups, 5th starter types.

It's not about one vs the other, it's about it being time to move forward and the kids are how you do that. I wouldn't boo Dun or Posey if they returned with another team. I wouldn't even boo Ford.

Troy...well probably not him either since he seemed nice enough.

I understand what you are saying, but I've seen first-hand how little of an impact fans staying away from the arena has on a team's rebuilding process.
