They just announced that Jason Kidd will be out until December, after having knee surgery this summer.

Now I know JO's knee didn't need surgery (at least I hope), but the last I heard (which was during the ECF) was that it would take 4-6 months to fully heal. Whether that means he will be there for the start of the season not just at full strength is anyones guess.

But when do you think we will hear more about JO's knee situation?

When the season starts, and he's not in the starting line-up, they'll finally decide to tell people he's out for the season....

I think it's probably pretty close to being healed. I saw something about someone's knee being 85%, I think it was Jermy, but i'm not so sure.

I thought I read it was due to be 100% by mid to late September.

I heard J.O. say somewhere that it will be at least 85% or higher by the time the season starts.I doubt he will miss any of the season.I think that they may play him lighty in the preseason though. After all I don't think Jermaine's knee is as bad as Kidd's.

We will hear something about it when the Pacers want us to and not a moment before. That's not to say that the local media doesn't already know plenty of details but until they get the go-ahead and get the memo with what they are to say from the Pacers, they will keep quiet.

I thought he was supposed to be healed up by the start of the season. I read an Indystar article and I thought it said that.
