Jermaine O'neal will break 40 points in a game sometime next season.

Probably will.

Was J.O's career high against the Cavs in Cleveland a couple of seasons ago? 38 pts?

I think so.

Yeah, UB, JO got 38 in Cleveland a couple years back, and I remember he got 38 against Memphis at Conseco in the 02-03 season.

Fiction. 40 is a lot in our offense.

I don't see why anybody with half a brain wouldn't just assume JO will break 40 this season. FOr the love of god, he's already hit 38, is 40 that much of a stretch?

:( Fiction

My 49% of brain doesn't assume so because he doesn't go to the line that much, shoots a bad percentage when he does and has a low percentage from the field in Carlise offense.

You're a team that averages a tad over 90 a game and still without much outside shooting. JO's easily doubled if he gets on a tear. Stephen Jaskon's more likely to have a game where he's unconscious and hits 40 than JO.

Our offense, as far as JO is concerned, isn't conducive to it.

He doesn't shoot threes and he could be better from the FT line (plus he doesn't get tons of calls in the first place).

While it is certainly possible, I wouldn't expect it. As DK implied, others are more likely to hit for 40.

Also, if JO was on that type of scoring spree then odds are we are winning easily so I wouldn't be surprised to see Carlisle limit his minutes for rest (and minimize the chance of injury). And that would again limit his chance to hit 40.
