Pacers Nuggets

What a difference a week makes. We go from on top of the Central Division with two winnable games that could solidify us in the Eastern Conference as a viable playoff team. To ranked second to last in John Hollinger rankings. Basketball-Reference's SRS has us third to last. NBA.com called our performance against the Sixers the worst basketball so far this season.

Denver had a tough game last night against Chicago and lost a close one 94-92. The Nuggets have big man depth problems like we do with K-mart and Birdman out. They start Shelden Williams & Nene with Al Harrington & Melvin Ely backing them up.

Carmelo Anthony have been playing great and doesn't see why he can't play the rest of the season in Denver so he can be a free agent and go to New York. Can the Nuggets be dumb enough not to trade him before February trade deadline?

Nene, Billups, Afflalo & Harrington have been playing average ball with Lawson, J.R. Smith, S. Williams & Ely playing below average.

We have a chance to get out of our offensive funk and run tonight. This is the Nuggets forth game in five nights and we've been off for three days.

Area 55 where we hope we can get back to a .500 record. Go Pacers!

I think keeping billups and JR smith in check will be key

JR Smith is to me, one of the least intelligent NBA players. He keeps himself in check half the time. Afflalo worries me much more.

Mid 80's RunDMC, Late 80's Eric B & Rakim, Early 90's NWA were good but ruined what came after with gangsta rap. Now people think it's cool to sound dumb and uneducated.

What a difference a day makes. We go from having the worst basketball performance of the year so far in Philly. To one of the best basketball performances of the year so far against Denver. The last time we had such a breakout game was against the same Nuggets in 1991.

For both games we had 3 days of inactivity prior to our matchups. The difference is what the players had to go through before the games. Before the Philly game Jim O'Brien had our guys running wind sprints and ran them too hard. That's why he couldn't get to mad at them after that game. They were tired and it showed.

Before the Nugget game the coach calmed down on the wind sprints and mostly worked on the fundamentals of the motion offence. The result was great. With rested legs the teams shot came back and so did the ability to move without the ball.

Area 55 where row five doesn't understand what it takes to be a fan. Go Pacers!

After one game we jump from 28 to 14 on Basketball-Reference SRS.
