Well, of course all of us in and around Indy cannot see the game, but we can still listen in. Look around your radio dial for coverage in your area.

Some stations include:

Lafayette: 95.3FM
Indianapolis: 94.7FM
Centerville/Richmond: 930AM

With 5:31 left in the first, still no score. Peyton had a pass intercepted as the Colts drove down the field early in the game.

BIGGEST NEWS: Troy Walters has suffered a broken arm and will be out indefinitely.

Geez, that really sucks. He's a solid receiver. :(

Vandy just punted! (Hunter Smith is around, he just didn't punt this time.) Lamey and company said it went 60 yards! :o

...and a penalty negates it so he has to do it over...

So after one quarter...

On the bright side, score tied 0-0.

I live in Greenwood and it is on here, you guys might want to check again to see if it is coming in for you.

On a sidenote, the D looks pretty good.

08-21-2004, 08:48 PM
Pennington threw a 65 yard pass to Carter; on 3rd and goal from the 2, Pennington threw a TD pass to his tight end. Due to an injured kicker, the Jets went for 2 and got it.

8-0 Jets, 13:17 left in the 2nd.

You're a lucky man. I'm in Lafayette and I'm being subjected to ESPNews.

Feel free to give your insights, since you can well, see and all.

Brad Pyatt returns a kickoff to the 37. It's good to see him back. Edge sounds like he's running very well.

2nd and 8 Colts from the Jets 47

08-21-2004, 09:00 PM
Vandy with an onside kick, and we got it!

08-21-2004, 09:01 PM
1st and Goal from the 3...

The Ponies use a three tight end set, with Pollard, Hartsock, and Fletcher in.

Fletcher catches his second TD of the preseason!

The touchdown drive lasted 2:25.

8-7 Jets

Vandy does a surprise onside kick! COLTS RECOVER! (Gary Brackett)

Cory Sauter comes in now...

starters out - time to turn it off

08-21-2004, 09:07 PM
Sauter fumbled the ball, Jets recover and will begin at the Colts 47.

That's three turnovers in one and a half quarters. :unimpressed:

08-21-2004, 09:31 PM
Dwight Freeney was wreaking much havoc, with multiple sacks...

Jets convert another FG, and the 1st half comes to close with Sauter taking a knee.

14-7 Jets after two quarters.

Radio observations:

1. Too many turnovers.

2. Too many penalties.

3. Edge ran pretty well, although that fumble marred his play.

4. We've discovered our backup punter! Vandy is the man.

5. The defense is still up and down.

08-21-2004, 09:49 PM
14-7 Jets

Colts have the ball 1st and 10 from their own 19 with a few minutes gone in the 3rd quarter.

The defense bent but didn't break; Jets get another FG.

17-7 Jets midway through the 3rd.

Let's see if the second unit can get something done.

08-21-2004, 10:10 PM
Kimball missed a 45 yard FG attempt. Lamey says it was well short. Ouch.

Good thing I left when I did; the Colts have done nothing since I left the building.

08-21-2004, 11:01 PM
The Jets just ran back a punt. Yay. The word of the day is effort, as in, the Ponies displayed no effort in their loss.

31-7 Jets with 1:06 to go.

08-21-2004, 11:02 PM
Merciful Zeus, it's finally over.

I left at the first half's two-minute warning. Mellencamp played at halftime.

08-22-2004, 09:16 AM
Wasn't Kimball suppose to be spectacular in practice? Is he related to Jonathan Bender?

08-22-2004, 10:20 AM
Here's that "fateful" play:
