Glad we didn't get him. I was excited the first day I heard about it, but after that reality set in. Kid thinks he's earned a lot of things that he hasn't. Including a fat contract. Blah.

I've personally thought of him as overrated because of all the "potential" people have said he has, which I haven't seen much of anything so far. If he lived up to all that potential, the proposed deal we heard about would have been nice if NY accepted it, but with what A.R. has done so far and looks to be doing this upcoming season, I'd rather just keep what we already have.

If nothing else, I would do a two for one deal to get him, and get the roster set... BRush, Solo.... Done, done and done...

Wait....I thought it was evil Don Nelson who was holding him back and refused to play him because he has a personal grudge against him.

Or maybe Nellie just didn't play him because he's just not ready to play consistent minutes at the NBA level. I know a lot of people find that hard to believe, but sometimes coaches just don't like giving big minutes to young guys who are not ready. Or maybe he's playing poorly because Nellie has bought courtside seats to all Knicks pre-season games just to give AR the shivers.

Randolph is a project player at this stage but I wouldn't mind trading a top-10 protected first rounder to see how he works out. By the same token, I imagine Donnie would rather keep him.

The article also mentions Turiaf losing minutes due to his poor offensive game. He's a guy who I think would make a good backup 4/5 for us.

I am not saying that they would accept that offer (they may latter if he fails to make the rotation) but from our perspective, I would trade for him if we were able to reduce our roster to the maximum of 15...

Believe it or not, but I'd rather go with McBob and Hans than trade for Randolph. And Turiaf is someone that I wouldn't mind getting for b/u center who can play the 4 as well, but I don't imagine Walsh would trade him.

I was willing to accept a 1st for this guy when I thought he was allegedly ready to start growing into something pretty decent, but now I hope we don't trade for him at all.

He could do something to change my mind later on, I suppose.

Other teams would offer more for him
