Was that "article" actually worth a thread?

Bleacher report or not, I thought it was a pretty good read. He made a pretty solid argument why he thinks Boston will decline and why Miami isn't necessarily the sure thing everyone thinks they are (lack of inside presence).

I don't really see much evidence to believe any of the teams listed behind us on that list should be any better. The key to this dude's analysis is that he sees what a lot of other national folks don't, that losing Troy Murphy wont really hurt us that much, it might even help. Losing your biggest defensive liability and gaining a starting caliber point guard tends to help a team improve no?

I'm glad we're getting credit for our offseason and not just on this site.

I think we'll finish 7th, but not play Miami though.

Here is a team that has actually improved enough to get to the playoffs and not be an embarrassment. Indiana has the best player on any of the teams from 7-15 in Danny Granger. They have a couple of serviceable parts around him, and as good a shot as anyone.
Plus, they dumped overrated Troy Murphy to land an actual first-rate young point guard in Darren Collison. Combine that with rookie Paul George, and the Pacers could climb higher if one or more of the top six falter.'
