Source tells Newsday the Knicks have signed a training camp agreement with. F Shawne Williams. More to come at the Fix.

Sorry Knicks fans. He probably won't make it, but that's a good thing for the Knicks.

After all, it is Mr. Walsh who's in charge. This is to be expected I suppose

But in old age, this are the types of things to be expected of an increasingly delusional Mr. Walsh.

Nothing surprises me with him anymore.

I can't believe this guy is still running into teams that ar willing to give him another chance...He'll probably **** this opportunity away yet again.

Of course he will, its NY, the amount of trouble he could and probably will get it into is limitless.

I really hope he gets his life turned around so that he can show to the rest of the world that he just isn't a very good basketball player.

Sometimes, "potential" really means "he sucks now, but we hope he transforms into a good player down the road".

Sometimes, "wasted potential" really means, "... and it didn't happen. He always sucked".

It's only training camp. Maybe the guy does well in practice and can bang with the guys who will end up on the team. You need bodies for camp.

I liked Mark Pope. He was everything you could possible want in a 12th man.

I'm completely serious. I don't want a 12th man who has delusions of being an all-star. I want one that will practice hard, be a good teammate, and adequately step into the 9th man role if people get hurt.

Their weed man got busted so they needed another supplier asap.

It is a shame that he is taking a roster spot from someone who would do anything to be there.

At what point did a training camp invite become a roster spot?

Keep in mind that Donnie had a great deal to do with bringing back George McCloud from Europe and getting him hooked up with Denver, where he had some decent years playing his natural '3' position, as opposed to the failure of drafting him as a big point. Donnie has a soft spot for his old players.

It is unfortunate that in many cases the rules we face do not apply to these people. I guess because they are special or something.
