I'm definitely a Pacers/Basketball guy first and foremost, but I'm glad the NFL is back!

I hope Favre wins this game, then retires.

I hope the Vikings can go in there and get a win and spoil everything.

How many Super Bowl parades are they having tonight?

New Castle is throwing them one in an hour. I'm the Grand Marshal.

I have a feeling this will be a boring game

Thank God the NFL is back. The period from when the NBA finals end to when the NFL season starts is without a doubt the most boring time frame in sports.

I need the Vikings to do well for my fantasy teams. I'm pretty tired of hearing about the Saints. Check that, I'm fine with the Saints, I'm tired of hearing about New Orleans.

That National Anthem rendition really wasn't good at all.

No, and I hate when they have a celebrity sing it as they always drag it out.

Well at least it wasn't a blow out but I really wasn't impressed with either team in this game. Anyone else feel the same?

Rather ho-hum season opener.

Both of these teams could miss the playoffs and I wouldn't be surprised. Man we really laid an egg against New Orleans last season...so disappointing.

We did but it has nothing to do with yesterday's game since both teams aren't the same as they were last season I never understand why people think that every year is different.

It was disappointing because the infamous decision was supposed to put us in the best position to win the SB and we still failed.

Vikings-Saints drew NFL's highest opening night rating ever
Posted by Michael David Smith on September 10, 2010 9:41 AM ET
The ratings are in, and the NFL remains a television juggernaut.

Peter King of Sports Illustrated reports that Thursday night's Vikings-Saints game drew a 17.7 rating and 28 share on NBC, making it the highest-rated NFL opening night game ever.

Those strong ratings to start the 2010 season follow a record-breaking 2009 season for the NFL, a record-breaking season that culminated with Super Bowl XLIV as the most-watched television program in history.

And so we see once again that the NFL is more popular than it has ever been. And we beg the owners and the union not to allow labor unrest to change that.

The Saints offense is functionally the same, and the defense is only missing Darren Sharper's corpse for the most part.

We just never recovered off that onside kick.
