Interesting.

I thought he was still in jail for Purple Drank.

Wow he's only 24, it seems like he's older than that, but i forgot he came out after his freshman year. I know hindsight is 20/20, but how did we ever get this kid? Rondo had slipped to us and we even needed a p.g. The year before we had drafted a wing in Granger and then we follow it up with drafting another wing and moving up in that same draft and taking another wing in James White.

Hopefully Williams has cleaned up his image, it seems like he wanted to be some kinda gangsta when he came in the league, with his entourage, and late nites out. It's been so long since i've seen him play, then i really don't know what he brings to the table. He used to be a tall wing that could shoot pretty well, but now that he's been out of the game for a while, i really don't even know what he offers. I remember he always said the right things in interviews, but then he'd make a mistake and screw up on something then it would just set him back further. Best of luck to him, but i'd say his chances of making the league again, are slim. However if you're seeking motivation, Coach Brown will definitely do that, and he will hold you accountable, that's for sure. Maybe that's what he needs.

Did they let him out for work release so soon?

Wow, when do we play the Bobcats? He gets another opportunity... will he take advantage?

I'm getting ready to watch the Bobcats vs. Jazz. We'll see how Shawne looks.

I have no faith that he'll pull it together. From the outside he looks like an addict that is unwilling to shed his problems and work hard. He's at least 20 lbs heavier than Larry Brown wants him to be.

Best of luck to him. I'd love to see him reach his potential.

with the notable exception of Peja, I root for ex-Pacers...but I don't really care what this cat does

It bothers me that Shawne Williams is here for Charlotte, taking the place of someone who would do anything to make an NBA team.

The video contains info on Shawne and his "issues."

Good for Shawne. If he is free and clear of his demons, and puts forth 110% effort, I can't condemn the guy.

Looks like former Raider Jamarcus Russell and Shawne Williams have been hanging out.

Good! This little escapade in Orlando will be a nice break for him. I suspect he will be playing in Poland shortly.

Gotta agree with Thorpe. Shawne showed more of his athletic but immature game yesterday. What a disappointment.
