I mentioned this during the draft party, this is for everyone else...

Say goodbye for some free entertainment this year. Not sure if Dante and Galante will be involved, either.

$10.95 for all 75 games, OnDemand, DVR fuctionality, Stats, etc., etc.

I'm surprised ESPN doesn't just put it on The Ocho.

Still.....$10 is not THAT bad. But I can see why people will be bummed.

I'm guessing that's international pricing - it's still $10.95 for me.

Well, that about does it for me then. Dante and Galante has always been fun in past years, but I was only able to catch glimpses here and there. I suppose if I had time to sit and watch 3-4 games every day, 10 bucks would be worth it.

They should at least move the games to a video archive on their website once the summer league is over. That way, the fans that don't want to pay to watch during the game or don't have the time during the day, can go back and watch specific games afterwards for free.

All the games will be televised on NBA TV. So if you've got that, you're in luck.

Really?

Is this just for the Vegas summer league or Orlando also... for some reason I thought that you had to pay for the Vegas summer league last year too if you didn't have NBAtv

Hopefully since they are charging it will be better video coverage than it was last year...

Me, since I want to see it and didn't have NBATV the day I signed up.

Naturally, Comcast suddenly provided NBATVHD the NEXT DAY on my subscription.

Ok, so I just signed up for this with the link for $10.95 and yet when I checked out minutes later this morning the price was $14.95.

Not amused.

Now I am fretting that Directv will probably offer NBATVHD with a free trial probably starting July 5th.

I'm reading about blackout rules, but I should be able to still watch the Pacer summer league games even though I'm in Indy right? And the games are on demand which is nice I guess.

Isn't NBATVHD on DirecTV's standard package now? I get the sports package anyway so I have nothing to worry about but since it moved to channel 216 I thought everybody got it now.

U-Verse really needs to get going on the Sports stuff. All we have is the NFL Network. No NBA, no MLB, no NFL Sunday Ticket.

I don't think there's any way that these games would be blacked out. For one thing, they're in Orlando. On top of that, even if you were in Orlando, the games aren't open to the public (which is a shame, I live in FL and would probably try and go to one).

It suck they are charging for lit, but I knew that is what they were going to start charging, it was inevitable. I will be watching it on NBA TV...

This is not true for me. I have been a Directv subscriber since '06 and I just called them this morning to check on this. They told me I had to subscribe to NBATV and pay extra to get it. I have the basic HD package

Duke am I getting screwed here?? Any one else know??? Thanks

If you have Choice Xtra you get it included.

So I assume that is an add-on you pay extra for? Can I ask how much extra?

Thanks

So bottom line for me is that I'll be able to DVR higher quality NBA TV coverage and watch at my leisure rather than trying to carve time out in front of a small, 8-bit pixel version of basketball/Zelda.

Anybody who pays to watch streaming summer league requires immediate psychiatric attention.

My thoughts exactly. Last summer I got pretty much nothing done at work while the Pacers summer league games were going on.

I'm pretty bummed about this.
