This is one trade rumor that makes a lot of sense for both teams. David Khan wants to get rid of Al Jefferson and Indiana needs another big to go along side Roy Hibbert. Indiana wants to get rid of Troy Murphy and his contract.
The rumor is Al Jefferson and Jonny Flynn for Troy Murphy, Brandon Rush, Tyler Hansbrough, and a future draft pick.
Indiana could part ways with both Hansbrough and Rush. The reason is due to the Pacers drafting Paul George and Lance Stephenson.
Minnesota refused to trade Flynn when Indiana offered just the No. 10 pick, but if they add a few more pieces I expect Minnesota to pull the trigger.
The Timberwolves would put Hansbrough and Rush as bench contributors and Troy Murphy as their starting center.
Minnesota would keep Kevin Love at power forward and Ricky Rubio at point guard when he comes over after this upcoming season.
Indiana finally gets the point guard they need. Then, Jefferson fills another hole with Murphy leaving in this trade.
Both teams get better in this trade, but if I had to pick a winner I would pick Indiana.
They get two great young players who could be all-stars multiple times. I think Indiana would make the playoffs next year if they made this deal.
David Khan admitted he was shopping Al Jefferson and will listen to offers. That opens the door for Indiana.
Both Bird and Khan need to make some blockbuster deals this summer if they want to have a job after this season.
Don't rule out this trade rumor, it could happen this summer.

This probably has no chance of happening since Kahn talked trash about us on draft night. Just thought I would put it out there for everyone to read.

This is also an article about Minnesota trading Jefferson.

David Kahn admitted on Friday that he is exploring a trade of Al Jefferson and the likelihood of a trade increases if the Wolves re-sign Darko Milicic.
"It's the right time finally for us to explore this," Kahn said of a possible Jefferson trade. "I've met with Al and discussed this. If Darko comes back, there could be a need to create some playing time. We really need to get our front line settled."

I would do this trade depending what the draft pick was.

Now the reality of this is, it's just another rumor that won't materialize.

Here's another article on trading Jefferson. If there's any truth to it, we certainly have contracts that they could buy out after a trade. Rush, Tyler, and a future 1st. would be too much to package for Jefferson and Flynn. I'm not sure if Flynn would be the pg we need to target. Trading Murphy, or Dun straight up for Jefferson might make sense.

The Wolves appear determined to trade Al Jefferson.

Minnesota had been discussing making a trade of Jefferson for Zach Randolph, but talks are currently dead.

Randolph has one year remaining on his contract and Minnesota would possibly waive him.

No way JOB agrees to this. Jefferson was 0-4 from three last year.

I have a few questions surronding Jefferson.

- Injuries. This guy played in 76 games last season but he has missed almost 100 games over 6 seasons.
- What about his play? I know he puts up good numbers but is he just someone who fills up a stat sheet or does he do the little things that help a team win? Does he play good defense?

His contract isn't as long as I thought it was. Around $42 million over 3 years.

If this deal is really on the table I think you have to take it if you're the Pacers.

Rumor isn't horrible, but I would only give up 2 of these 3, Rush, Hansbrough, or the pick. I wouldn't give up all 3.

However this is Bleacher Report. I might as well create my own site and announce Jordan's coming out of retirement ... again. Probably as accurate. I'll believe it when I see other places reporting it.

Don't really care for Jefferson much..he just came off a bad knee injury not too long ago.

This is probably something some writer made up or something, but it is fun to see the Pacers attached to so many trade rumors. Maybe one of the will happen and not be just a rumor.

Seriously though, imagine a line-up of:

C - Hibbert/Foster/Rolle/Jones
PF - Jefferson/McRoberts
SF - Granger/Dunleavy
SG - George/Stephenson/Jones
PG - Flynn/Price/Ford

Yes, please.
