59 games each in the 5th set, longest match by far in tennis history. Of course, most tournaments have final set tiebreakers, but not Wimbledon.

It was crazy! Isner would serve and be up by one, then Mahut would just do the exact same thing! I'm beginning to think this match will never end!

Unbelievable match. I must say I have a huge respect for both players now. Neither has been willing to give in and both continued to play very good tennis, particularly considering the considerable fatigue they must inevitably have been feeling. Any sports man that considers giving in, some would say the French football team at the world cup, should take inspiration from these two players, one of whom is french, and continue to fight regardless of expectation or pressure.

My sister was fortunate enough to be at Wimbeldon today to watch this, she said the tension, excitement and admiration within the crowd was enthralling. Wimbledon trully is like no other tournament.

And we're tied at 63. This match will never end...

Has every game in the 5th been a held serve?

Yeah. Neither has broken since the second set.

Currently 68-67

If I were to pick a winner, it'd be Mahut. He's done a better job returning.

Isner wins 70-68!

And the 3 people (ref included) are getting a special honor

Isner finally breaks through. 70 to 68. Wow.
