Rick Barry is on the radio saying Brent is going to get traded to Boston.
Take that for what it's worth.

I've always said Boston could use a good perimeter shooter.

Posted on another board:

KNBR 680 just announced on the 20/20 sports break that Brent Barry is headed to the Celtics for SG Jiri Welsch and C- Michael "Yogi" Stewart. There will be a press conference sometime today.

Can we get our hands on Jiri Welsch sometime? I like him. But I thought he was "Danny Ainge" type of player?

Well, we could've drafted him but took Freddie instead (at I believe Isiah's insistance).

If this is true it's his 4th team in under two years. Never played in GS last year really but both Dallas and Boston have said that not including him would be a "deal breaker" in the trades they did.

The media was nearly unanimous in saying we'd pick between K. Rush and Welsch. I've never known exactly what to believe on that choice. I guess Freddie's getting better but Welsch and Kareem Rush would both seem to better address what we need at the backup SG position than Fred currently does.

RealGM says Stewart can't be dealt until the 15th due to his recent trade.
Hrm.

Brent Barry is someone that I've wished the Pacers could get their hands on. Not a great defender, but he knows the game as well as anyone. He's good for points, assists, a handful of rebounds, good FG%, good 3FG% and good FT% every game out.... and he's a team player.

Welsch for Barry doesn't make sense-- he is a good young player.

More sense would be the Herald's mention of trading Mill's expiring contract and sweetening the deal with a draft pick.
