Artest > :knicks:

zxc
02-03-2004, 07:46 PM
That was one ugly three from Tinsley. JO needs to stop with the jumpers from that far out.

zxc
02-03-2004, 07:48 PM
Nice steal by Reggie then gets 3 on the other end.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 07:48 PM
 I love how the NY fans react to Reggie. He hits a 3, and instead of the cheers you'd hear in Conseco, they just all yell "Ohhhhhhhhhhh!"

able
02-03-2004, 07:52 PM
I'm guessing JO needs to get a rythm going, which I can imagine seeing his injury :D

Hope he will get the "nerve" to just GO to the rim :)

Go Pacers!

zxc
02-03-2004, 07:53 PM
JO with the early second foul. Dunno about that call.

able
02-03-2004, 07:58 PM
seems a bit tame at the moment, here and in NY

as does the game.

we need some concetration, so in that sense the score staying close is better :D

Go Pacers!

zxc

Pacers offense gone ice cold. Knicks take lead. 8-0 run for them =\

Fred Jones is out tonight?

able
02-03-2004, 08:04 PM
Is that what Al was gonna show us tonight ? how he leds Thomas go by him twice in a row for a lay-up ?

geez, wake up Al, STOP the man

and Marb STFU

:stupid:

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:04 PM
Yeah Freddie's sick.

Our offense and defense have looked mediocre at best these past two games.

We need a good hard practice before Friday's game.

zxc
02-03-2004, 08:05 PM
23-20 Knicks after 1. Knicks close quarter on a 14-4 run... :unimpressed:

Looking about as sharp as that second half last night.

able
02-03-2004, 08:05 PM
well according to Slick AJ is not a good idea atm, Marb runs circles around him.

common Tins,

We want FRED!

well according to Slick AJ is not a good idea atm, Marb runs circles around him.

common Tins,

He was running circles around Tinsley too. Maybe Kenny should get some mins. Though doubt he can do anything more.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:13 PM
So far JO's neck doesn't seem to be bothering him much, if at all. Good news.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:13 PM
Joe Crawford, always sees the foul on the weakside. :unimpressed:

Wow...this is another lack luster effort. I don't know, the last few games feel like we have slipped a little eventhough our record is a-ok.

Great hustle there by Tins resulting in a dunk from JO

Ron back in :)

zxc
02-03-2004, 08:24 PM
Looks like Detroit struggling with Cavs at home so far tonight. Wonder if they will finally let one slip. Won last 4 games or so vs less than impressive competition by less than 10 points total combined.

Suaveness
02-03-2004, 08:26 PM
WHY IS IT THAT EVERY ****ING GAME THERE IS A FT DISCREPANCY?? CAN SOMEONE TELL ME?

zxc
02-03-2004, 08:27 PM
Well, we are fouling alot tonight. Our PGs have no defense vs Marbury it seems but to send him to the line. Though think we should have more than 3 FTs so far. =\

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:27 PM
WHY IS IT THAT EVERY ****ing GAME THERE IS A FT DISCREPANCY?? CAN SOMEONE TELL ME?

Ron Artest's strength.

They look to see him get jerked around, but it's not gonna happen 75% of the time, so he doesn't get nearly the FTs he should because he doesn't flop around or scream like Paul Pierce does when he's hit.

Suaveness
02-03-2004, 08:27 PM
They've taken 15, we have taken 3...is it US? Or is it the refs?

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:28 PM
I'm a little baffled as to Marbury's ease going to the hoop tonight.

We did a pretty good job on him in Phoenix.

Must be our overall lack of effort tonight.

Roaming Gnome

WHY IS IT THAT EVERY ****ing GAME THERE IS A FT DISCREPANCY?? CAN SOMEONE TELL ME?

Tonight, we are getting to spots late, getting out hustled by Marbury. Not a very good game for us.

I want to say yes.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:30 PM
Just checked the box score: Yep, Kenny started that game.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:31 PM
Al totally got away with a foul there. He pretty blatantly used his elbow to clear space, but they called it on the defender.

Rewarding aggression? :whoknows:

zxc
02-03-2004, 08:31 PM
So many missed FTs lately it seems.

zxc
02-03-2004, 08:33 PM
Rebounds seem to be slipping away from us a bit too often here =\

What was Al thinking right there? Then he tips in a knick basket.. =\

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:33 PM
We'd better kick our intensity up a couple notches after half-time or else we are going to lose.

Hicks

47-43 Knicks at halftime... :unimpressed:

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:37 PM
Pretty simple tonight: Either pick up the effort or go home wondering why you lost.

Roaming Gnome
02-03-2004, 08:38 PM
Thank goodness the Knicks are playing pretty lousy tonight because we just arn't getting the job done. Clark Kellogg mentioned something that I was noticing....2 passes and a shot.

able
02-03-2004, 08:40 PM
No need for that wondering :)

They outhustle us, outrebound us, hit their shots, perform above abliity
we do none of those things till now and it still is a close game :)

I predict a RC !talk! at half time and a "better" 3 quarter, then we will see what happens in the final quarter

Go Pacers!

:stupid:

Ragnar
02-03-2004, 08:48 PM
We need to play Kenny instead of Johnson tonight. Every time Johnson comes in there goes the lead.

zxc
02-03-2004, 08:53 PM
Or play him instead of Tinsley, both doing equally bad it seems to me.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 08:56 PM
NICE form on that jumper by Tinsley!

zxc
02-03-2004, 08:57 PM
Gotta stop letting them get these offensive boards.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 09:00 PM
Those ********.

They waited to watch the ball bump on the rim, then go in good, THEN as the players are heading back they blow the whistle.

able
02-03-2004, 09:00 PM
Jeff is not very active tonight, 2 rebounds so far

adn JO should go to the boards more, but he has some F's that Jeff doesn't have

:stupid:

Hicks
02-03-2004, 09:01 PM
Nice play by Reggie.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 09:02 PM
Tinsley burries the 3!

I swear, his form does look a LOT better these days.

able
02-03-2004, 09:04 PM

Tinsley again for 3! Boom baby!

Pacers up 2!

zxc
02-03-2004, 09:05 PM
Well Tinsley picked a good time to start hitting shots again. Can't believe Reggie didn't shoot that wide open one though. Back on top by 2.. timeout Knicks.

Hardaway answers the 3... :unimpressed:

LOL knowing the score before it happens on the radio, now that opens perspective :)

:stupid:

(checks the opening hours of the bookie but realizes they are closed)

can't get decent odds on the P's anyway here, they're odds on favorite for the East and 4th for the whole show so that will probably be something like 7 / 1

zxc
02-03-2004, 09:13 PM
Croshere in for JO... quickly lets Doleac score on him.

Hicks
02-03-2004, 09:16 PM
Late whistle, but Al goes to the line.

indytoad
02-03-2004, 09:16 PM
Is it me, or has the Pacers defense been beyond terrible the last few games? I've only gotten to watch the third quarter so far, but the Knicks seem to be getting anything they want. Seems like it's been that way for a couple weeks now.

IndyToad
Break through

zxc
02-03-2004, 09:17 PM

69-67 Pacers

able
02-03-2004, 09:20 PM
ok A. we're ahead!
B. Cro and AJ is to much for our defense, not a good rotation.
C. if we are ahead after 4 minutes in the 4th or at least within 3 -5 points we are most likely to win, JO back, Tins , Reg, Al and Ron will win this one for us :D

:stupid:

Not making critical foul shots. Ron missed both, and that's pretty much the ballgame I'd say.

What a pathetic excuse of a game. That last play was just an example of it.

That was one horrible final offensive play for us. This one feels worse than that Wizards loss. :(

Wow. How BRAVE of New York. They wait until they're up 7 with 4 seconds left to start chanting REGGIE-SUCKS. Cowards.

We just got out hustled and left way too many points on the line :puke:

I love the gutless Knick fans...start the Reggie chant when the game is in hand.

In all reality they made the plays and half our guys were on a holiday

We knew these kind of games were coming, Knicks are in a zone right now, we'll win the series in Consecol.

Al was VERY dissapointing tonight and we COULD have found a better place to loose, but hey, we're still way in front :)

GO PACERS!

The press will play this up as a huge statement game when it was the total opposite. It was a "we can beat the Pacers when they don't try" game.

Actually Pistons luck may have run out. Down 2 just missed shot. 2 seconds left Diop to the line to seal win. Lots of time and bad FT shooter though =\

Diop only makes 1. Now you know Pistons hit a three and get another OT. Or maybe they get a 4 point play with the calls they got last 2 games at the end.

I probably shouldn't say this, but doesn't it seem like the Pacers have been really slipping recently, especially on the defensive end? Look at the last few games:

Get beat at home by the Rockets, get pounded by Washington, get extremely lucky against Boston, have trouble against 1/4 of the Lakers, and now get beat by a New York team missing one of their better players.

I hope it's just another slump and not a catastrophe, but you have to admit the timing is not good.

If Cleveland wins that'd at least make me somewhat happy.

I refuse to watch another IU game the rest of the season, and then the Pacers lose tonight.

Sorry for accusing you of trolling, just heat of losing, I guess. As for playing poorly of late, it does feel like an ominous sign of things to come
