Steven Hunter's days with the Cavaliers were short. It hasn't become official yet, but it will be announced in the coming days. The Cavaliers will cut the 7-footer they acquired with Gooden and Anderson Varejao from the Magic last week.

According to Hunter's agent, Mark Bartelstein, the release was agreed to prior to the trade. To make the deal work and match salaries, Hunter had to sign a three-year contract. The final two years of the deal weren't guaranteed and the Cavaliers are just responsible for the first year. His take for being a Cavalier for a few days: about $1 million.

I won't be mad if we pick him up.

For peanuts? Sure, why not.

He is not a "big body". Bender could probably own him in the post. It would be like a stick fight in the paint.

Hunter isn't a total dog. At this stage I'd take him over Keon Clark.

The only thing that stands out to me is his age. He has some time to learn and develop, I wouldn't mind having him.

I'd rather have him than 4 PG's

It's been stated that there is only one spot left for a PG. That leaves one roster spot available, probably for a big man.
