...since they've already ruined One Shining Moment.

I figured after Luthor Vandross died it'd be a long time before they changed it. Nope, didn't even make it 5 years. But I figured Jennifer Hudson is good, so can't be that bad.

I'm sorry, but that was bad. Maybe I need to rebalance my speakers, but there were some lines so soft I couldn't even hear over the accompaniment. And whose bright idea was it to show her at all, let alone over and over again, in an empty studio no less. Very strange. There were so many scenes I saw over the last 3 weeks that I said "That'll make it", but didn't, because they needed to show her.

Oh well, at least Purdue didn't win, I'd really have been pissed then if that was ours. :-p

Well, they obviously changed the balance, probably felt she was too loud, after listening to this.

I went back and listened again, and actually, I think this mix sounds better, but youtube vs. 5.1 isn't exactly apples and apples. Still pissed though.

Once the final horn sounded I couldn't bring myself to care one way or the other about the mix on "One Shining Moment"....

Modern mixes all fall prey to the dynamics wars, where everything is compressed so much that anything soft gets buried by the loud stuff.

I agree it was god-awful. So do lots of other people...
