Do you guys remember the Aussie Ben Allen from a couple years back?

I had forgot all about him, until watching the WCC championship game tonight. He's on St. Mary's, had lke 20 points in their win over Gonzaga.

Man could IU use that big body presence this year

ben allen was a total sissy. i do not miss him even a sliver. he was like a slower walter mccarty.
refused to go inside and be a man. all he would do is stand outside and jack up 3's.
obie would love him though!

He actually didn't play to bad against the Zags in their win. Had a couple offensive rebounds, and few nice assists and can still hit the jumper

20 pts 9 rebs and 4 assists.

Not too shabby against a solid Gonzaga team

He's still a ninny.

Ben Allen is a Sally, who's style would work in that conference.

I watch him and root for St. Mary's whenever they're on late at night, but he still has the same tendencies that coaches and fans were so harsh on him back during his IU days.

Whatever, the fans chased this kid away and he was misused by Sampson, he was always incredibly talented. I was ****ing pissed the way the entire Hall would moan when he would come in, as if it was his fault Sampson was trying to play him in the post. He was a perimeter big man and a damn good one.

I agree with Indy here, I thought he was a solid talent and was simply getting misused. Instead of Sampson bringing him in and playing to his strengths by using him to spread the floor, he threw him down low as if he was a Dj White clone!!

It'd be like Jim O'Brien telling Murphy to model his game after Hibbert.. I mean seriously.

One interesting OT tidbit is that there's a 6'9 HS PF by the name of Moses Abraham (4 star recruit) who's narrowed his college choices down to IU and Georgetown. He was suppose to make his decision last night, but decided to delay it until today.

UK, Tennessee, and Maryland were also in the mix.

He'll probably pick Georgetown, but if not I would gladly welcome to big body to the Hoosiers!

Let's add Armon Bassett as a transfer as well. He's playing for Ohio and having a big 1st half against GTown right now

So that's where I heard the name before!! I thought his name sounded awfully familiar. I remember he didn't do much for us back then and I'm not that interested in having him back at IU...I'd rather just get Mo Creek back into action lol.

I just found this article via Google on "Terrapins Insider" by a fellow named Steve Yanda.

Sounds like there's a decent chance he'll come to IU. I REALLY hope he does decide to play for IU as we can use any potentially good post players that we can get.
