Utah gets the #1 via NY's pick?

What do we offer to get Wall and what does Utah want?

Assets: Tyler, Rush, Roy, Lorbek, expirings, Top 10 pick

Utah's Need: SG, Depth, Someone to take on Okur (exp 2012)?

Utah's Contract Situation: Boozer likely signs elsewhere this summer... Korver also expires this summer. AK47 is finally expiring next year (Summer 2011).

Offer: Our pick (Aminu?), Tyler and Rush for Wall and filler (CJ Miles?)

Jazz:
DWilliams/RPrice
Rush/Matthews
AK47/Aminu
Milsap/Tyler
Okur/Koufos

Pacers:
Wall/Ford/Price/Diener
Dunleavy/DJones
Granger/McBob
Murphy/SJones
Hibbert/Foster

Part of me really thinks they would target Aldrich for their Center of the next 10 years... Better prospect than Koufos.

So I thought about it and here would be my offer:

Brandon Rush and Roy Hibbert for John Wall and filler.

The Jazz get a great match to DWilliams and a known talent of Roy in the post... someone who I think would pair well with Milsap.

We keep our #6 pick and go with Aldrich?

Part of me wants to say they'd be more willing to part ways with Deron before they'd deal John Wall.

I don't think they would budge. They'd have a Deron Williams/John Wall PG rotation.

The Jazz would never even consider an offer of Rush and Hibbert for Wall...
Wall is a definite superstar in the making who will require much more than an unproven shooting guard and a center who hasn't proven much to this point.
We'd have to include our top 10 pick for sure if we wanted the Jazz to even consider our offer.

My guess is we'd throw boatloads of expirings at them to try and unload their multi-year contracts so that they can rebuild with Wall, whatever young assets and 2011 cap space. We could literally take on all three of their multi-year contracts (Williams, Okur and Millsap) though my guess is that they'd keep Millsap.

Utah might not want to trade the pick. They might go with Evan Turner or just keep Wall. Or the only team they would trade with would be the team with the second pick....so they could take Turner plus get a little extra.

Williams and Millsap are Utah's only multi year contracts. Okur and Kirilenko will be expirings after this year. I doubt the Jazz want to trade either Williams or Millsap.

False.

Fact: While Kirilenko expires after this year, Okur goes on one year after that (according to Shamsports and ESPN but not Hoopshype).

Beets, bears, Battlestar Galactica.

I could have sworn that I heard Okur got a multi-year extension before this season...

I'm with you on that. Looked up on Hoopshype and they show 10/11 at 10.5 mil as the last year.

At the beginning of the season each year, I run off copies of each teams players salaries. I went back to 07-08 Utah salary sheet and Okur contract was only until 09/10 at 9 mil. Could he have signed a 1 year extension?

Your list of Pacers' assets looks incomplete. There is another that
goes by the name of Granger. I have to chuckle a bit when folks
propose these prospective deals assuming DG is somehow
untouchable.

Personally, while Utah may not do so, I'd happily deal DG straight
up for Wall.

I think Utah would skip that whole mess of trading and just select Turner.
