Nothing "new", but I just thought he did a good job with this.

Now with the Wizards facing a similar season-disrupting nightmare, the comparisons to the brawl are flowing along with the warnings of how to avoid the extended nightmare the Pacers have lived through. Reggie Miller maintains that the brawl changed everything for the Pacers and they still haven't recovered. Shoals looks at the Pacers (http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/02/05/can-the-wiz-learn-anything-from-the-pacers/) as a cautionary tale for the Wizards not to go overboard in their reaction to this incident and overturn the roster like the Pacers did.
Did we really go overboard as a result of the brawl? I always thought it was a accumulation of events that the roster was overturned so drastically.

Did we even make any roster moves during the offseason following the brawl?
We drafted Granger and signed Saras, but I think that's about all we did until Ron asked to be traded and then we started dismantling that team.

really I don't think you can compare the Wiz to the Pacs at all...
We had a winning team that had problems but they were not as noticable as we were winning... then it all imploded and that was it....

The brawl was never the issue.
The issue was the volume and frequency of incidents...AFTER the brawl and WHILE the public was trying to forgive the team.
