I keep trying the Chad Ford Lottery Mock Draft thing and it consistently, based on current standings, has the Pacers picking either Willie Warren from Oklahoma or Cole Aldrich from Kansas with the eighth pick. Does anyone know anything about these players and why the Pacers would like them?

I did manage to get it to give the Pacers the first pick once out of about 30 times and of course it picked John Wall :)

I would cry if we drafted Warren....I would be happier with Patterson or Monroe

I do know a little about Aldrich. Tall Center who is prety big. Reminds me a lot of Big Z. Has good handles. Good basketball IQ but lacks the athleticism. He is a solid pick, but not spectacular. Warren from what I have heard is quick but lacks the shooting. I think that if the spectacular guard is not there they will go after a PF. I think Patterson would be awesome. Warren does not excite me.

Patterson would be a solid pick IMO. Just didn't know much about the other two.

I think you might be wrong about Warren. Yes he is quick, but he also has a pretty good shot. He would be useless if he was a 6'4" SG without a shot. He reminds me a lot of Ben Gordon

Ah muchas gracias I am not too familiar with him just from what I have heard, but I live in Texas so you know how Texas people like to describe any athlete from OU. They must have had their burndt orange glasses on.

It only took me 7 tries to get Wall. I'm guessing it will not happen in real life though.

In ten tries we got Wall twice and the 2nd pick twice (Favors). So then I just wanted to see who Chad had us taking third (Davis), in those attempts (lost count but was a lot) didn't get wall any more but did get 2nd pick several times.

I would rather have Evan Turner than Ed Davis so I was a little disappointed with our third pick projection.

I'll be ok with Wesley Jhonson, that guy is going to be a beast.

I can't really see us taking Aldrich. Why would we want two young centers, when we have a huge hole at PG?

I hope some "under the radar" PG's start to emerge pretty soon.

the only good pg in the 1st 10 is Wall, you either take a pf, guard or a center. By the way I think that this draft is weaker than last year, when you have a guy like Aldrich top ten that proves that this draft is weak.

I'm wondering if however we take will be traded for a PG.

In fairness he was top 10 on last years espn mock draft at this point. So this early that mock draft thing means nothing except for the top 3 or 4.

Is true, but at the same time I think some crazy team like Minny would take him in the top five or something like that, for me the only sure players for now are Wall, Turner and Jhonson, if we hope to get a pg and don't get Wall the second best pg is Turner the guy plays like B Roy, dominates the ball a lot but is good in making decisions.

Totally agree. Turner would be my pick if we dont get Wall but if we fall further down my pick would be Patterson.

I'd like to see if AJ could be the pg. I'm hoping for Wesley Johnson this year!
