Most of us balcony STHers today were sent an e-mail to redeem new seats for tonight's game in the lower level. Awesome...yes. But it does make me ponder a few things...

Do they love us that much?

Could these random acts of kindness happen more often?

If so, is this the FO's ace-in-the-hole to keep season ticket holders?

Hmm, interesting stuff if you ask me, but a nice gesture none-the-less.

I wasn't even planning on going tonight considering I'm expecting us to get blown out... this offer will make me go now. Nice move by the Pacers. They are also giving away tickets to the general public as well: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/05004307F3F8BCDD?did=jan5magic

That's my fault for checking facebook before my personal e-mail at lunch...

I have two club tickets for sale, $5 for both!

The ones they use for the Fever games.

It's pretty simple. We're not selling this place out. This is on national TV. Stern wants the lower levels filled for national broadcasts. They're sending everyone down to the lower levels to make the stadium seem more full.

I just picked up 2 lower level tickets in section 103 for $5.15 on ticketmaster. Thanks for the heads up cjacobs2007.

Good, submit to the cause...want my club level tickets? LOL. I won't make any money off them. You can just have them.

Wow, I am jealous, would love to catch a game in Indy, maybe when I visit my mom this spring I will catch one. Enjoy the cheap seats!

Nope. Staying home tonight to watch the World Junior Hockey Championships final. USA v. Canada.

Thanks. I'll be in my usual seats but was able to get 6 for my parents and their friends. It'll be nice to be in a somewhat full arena again.

Predictably, I am so glad that I did not renew, even at $75 per seat, for section 105. Just did a search for the heck of it and found Section 116, row 7, seats 2 and 3 for free, other than .75 per ticket Ticketmaster fee.

Don't think I will go, though.

Everybody else enjoy the free tickets!

It's such a depressing fact that whenever I can come across free tickets I either have to be at work or my wife is doing something.. Or maybe God is saving mine eyes from the murderous bludgeoning that will be tonight's game??

Just to clarify in case someone wants to know, I'm one of those broke fellows. Can't afford to be a STH at this point.

Ugh. I'm wishing I could go back and put my STH money into a total kitchen redo instead. Or a new roof. Or get the house painted. I realize that the team is in a tough spot, but dang is this painful for the LL STH people.

Still this is a DRAMATIC improvement from last year when upper/club people got leap frogged for really good LL seats sold to the general public. I've always said that if you are facing a "move down/fill in" situation you should give the STH the upgrade options first, then sell their old seats for cheap instead. That way you still have some motivation to be a STH.

I mean renewal talks aren't that far down the line. It's going to be tough for them to ask people for a few thousand bucks when you can get the same seat for 75 cents via TM.

I agree. They should take a "trickle-down" approach and offer better seats or better game experiences to their LL STHs. There are always ways to even things out. But free tickets to some and nothing to others is not a good business model; certainly not if done on a consistent basis.

It's sad that with the current state of the Pacers, I don't even want to go to a game where the tickets are free against Orlando. I really don't feel like going down there to watch them get crushed by 40.

I'll admit that I might have more interest in seeing Howard up close than anything at this point.

However I can find interest in studying the development with Rush, Roy, Price, Josh and even Tyler. I don't mean they have to win or be perfect. I'm at the point where I'm watching to see if certain parts of their game are improving just for signs of life for next year.

IMO this season is toast.

i agree. the playoffs are already out of reach in my book. i just don't see any real shot at making it. sorry folks if it seems like i'm being a bobby buzzkill. i know as bad as the knicks beat us, it only counts as one loss but this team has several injuries and even then they are simply going to struggle against anyone. we beat the twolves pretty bad but, i think if we had played them again the next night instead of the knicks, we would have lost-possibly quite badly. we were THAT bad.

I must say the ticket upgrade was much better than I expected, we had row 6 across the court from the Magic bench. Kudos to the Pacers for doing this.

I understand the STHers being upset and frustrated with promtions, and rightfully so. I agree with the upgrade offer tonight, and it should be offered that way regardless, but I also want you all to remember that the Facebook/cheap seat promotions happen a hand full of times a season. You guys get tickets to 41 games while us non STHers get about 5 tops.

If that is the case, I agree you guys should get upgrades, or first dibs, but don't be discouraged that some of the less fortunate get the opportunity to take in a couple games in decent seats.

You don't have to talk me out of them. Seriously. If the game doesn't fit my Colt's viewing schedule that day they are yours...I can't make money off of them so I won't sell them.
