Ironically I'm here in the NYC area visiting family and drove by Madison Square Garden a little while ago, but will be on the road soon back to Boston and can't stay to watch the game... :(

I really hope Josh starts again tonight, I have an uneasy feeling that we will see a lot of small ball against the Knicks.

A win tonight would be sweet coming off a back to back, against a Knicks team that is playing pretty well right now.

Sookie

If It's a close game, I hope JOB distributes the playing time between PG's a little better.

Don't make Watson play most of the second half, or he's gonna tire out. He played a game last night, with a ton of minutes. It's gotta get spread out a little bit better. It's not like Watson is a young guy.

This one may get ugly. Brandon has a quota of two good games per month and he used one last night.

That's a cover for Murphy. It's a shame Tyler isn't available because we'd whoop on these guys.

If we beat them on the back side of a back to back...it's time to stop speculating.

I wouldn't be surprised if we did go total small ball tonight. Too bad the Knicks are better at playing small ball then we are.

Solomon Jones and Josh are the keys to this game. If we go small, Harrington and David Lee are gonna kill us.

Please JOb, do not put Dahntay on either of these guys.

Edit: it's not about Josh and Solo beating those guys...it's about them slowing 'em down.

Instead of forcing the opposing Team to play down to us....JO'B ( especially when it comes to small ball ) will decide to play down to them. We'll completely ignore that we have the best Low-Post scoring option between both Teams while having the chance to put out an athletic but bigger lineup while using a Solo/McRoberts/Hibbert lineup.

The level of play across the board this year is no where near what it was a year ago.

Now I'm starting to think we should keep Obie as coach, it almost guarantees a high draft pick.

About what you expect from a team relying a journeyman backup PG night in and night out, with 5 of your 15 roster spots 6'2 and under (don't let program fool you), only all-star sidelined, 1st round draft pick sidelined, 2nd best player coming off injury and not playing well... I can go on and on.

Hope they show a backbone in the 2nd half b/c it's pretty sad to be a fan right now.

This is the same Hibbert I got chastised for saying lets not prematurely anoit Hibbert as the center of the future, b/c he had 3 good games against 3 poor teams. Come to think about it the Knicks are below 500 as well, and Lee is more of a PF than a center.

Now, I will say Lee has been a favorite of mine for the last 3 years. I wanted the Pacers to trade for him 2-3 years ago. He will cost someone a bundle of money this off season.

Hibbert struggles because this is a worst-case matchup and the offense does not run through him...and therefore we are not taking advantage of nearly a foot of extra height and length at the C position. This is a shortcoming of our offense as much as a weakness in his game.

the truth is Brandon should be in the D league right now.

He's been shooting 50% from 3pt land the last 8 games, shooting much better in general the last 12 games, and plays consistently good defense. I don't watch the D - are there players doing that there? Actually, they'd be doing it against lesser competition so I guess I should ask if there are any players in the D-League playing significantly better than that. If so then sure, we should send him down.

I'm seriously asking - anyone watch the DL?

Gilbert Arenas going to jail would probably be bad for my fantasy team.

Garbage time is the whole 4th qter for the Knicks bench. Hill and Landry are in now. Only the 11th game or so Hill has been in this year. He hit a jumper already.

I hope you are watching Bird! Walsh has to be truly enjoying this game.

I'm seriously asking - anyone watch the DL?
tonight
2-11 fg-a
0-4 3pt-a
He stands around and seems hesitant to shoot unless there is no one near him.

I'll trade you TMac for him.

I found this Arenas orange Bullets jersey in my closet the other day... definitely rockin' that one of these days.

I really hope that Price and McRoberts finish out the game. At least give them the garbage time that they deserve.

Seriously, I don't ever want the Pacers to lose games.....but we are in such bad shape that I actually want Bird to see us lose by 50+ points just to drive home that point.

Sometimes people need some strong "smelling salts" just to wake up and see how bad things are....

Yes, I'm aware that he's not been any good on offense tonight. Pretty much no one wearing blue and gold has. I assumed your statement about sending Rush to the D-League would be based on more than one (tonight's) game, so I thought you might find the recent data useful. Oh well.

Price w/ the Dream Shake.

Yea, that was nice. Rondo uses that quite a bit and I always thought it looked cool AND was effective as well. If Price employs that regularly then I am buying his jersey. Hell, we just need Hakeem to sit down with Hibbert, Hans, McRob, and Solo...that'd be outstanding haha.

EDIT: As I mention buying his jersey he brings the hustle strip and layup. Love this kid.

We still have a better record than Philly, New Jersey (3-30), Golden State, and Minnesota. So, good luck with that.

Last 5 games which was all I could find: 31% from the 3 and 39% overall. Is this an improvement from what? Not SG acceptable stats. My point was you can't play D. Jones and Rush at the same time because they can't shoot and they are supposed to be shooters. Playing these two together is asking to fall behind.

An under .500 team that's gone 9-5 the last 14 including beating the Hawks at Atlanta. ...with rest beating an undermanned Pacer team on a back-to back. Not that surprising.

A 43 point loss is ALWAYS that surprising. No team in the NBA should lose to any other this badly.

This was honestly one of the worst Pacer losses I have seen.

Thank god I didn't go there tonight and witness it in person.

If Danny did not go down with that injury, we would probably have about 14 or 15 wins.
