Everyone would get what they want.

New Orleans gets under the luxury tax and doesn't have to lose David West.

Cavs get thier Stretch PF and can resign Big Z after we buy him out. We would also get cash and thier 1st round pick this year.

Minnosta gets a young prospect at SG and expiring contract of Dieneer

We get a PF that can play in the post next to Hibbert, and can shift to Center when we bring in McBob or Hansbrough. We get read of TJ, and Murphy get a PG in Sessions and we get cap relief even though we are taking on Okfers contract. Which I don't think would be that bad if he stays health and averages 10 and 10 and can play D in the post instead of leaving Hibbert all alone under the paint.

This, my friend, is a very nice trade. Are we under the tax after this?

Yep. I'm trying to be realistic with my trades. I just miss the slow it down half court game with good ball movement on the Offensive side of the ball with a hard nosed solid defense on the the other end.

Oh, you must be talking about fundamental traditional Indiana basketball! Its been so long!

That statement just brought a tear to my eye.

I just don't understand why anyone would want to run and gun. Who has ever won a champioship with it. Sacromento...Nope.....Dallas...Nope....Pheonix...N ope....And they had a couple of Stars on the teams....But you win in the play-offs with solid D and fundimentals.

I just wish I could be the GM just to get a decent coach. All I want. Rush isn't that bad, neither is anyone else. I'd rather have 3 wins with solid basketball than nine with this hot garbage.

I like the idea of this trade. Nice job.

Now someone e-mail this to Bird.

I like the trade, but the idea that a half court offense is better than a run and gun offense is as flawed as your spelling

Yea my spelling has always sucked. Just downloaded the ispell application maybe that well help.

As for your opinion on the styles of O everyone has there own opinion. I like structure.

I like a pg that is a facilitator take control of the offense. A leader on the court.

I like a solid defensive PF that takes pride in his D and rebounding. That doesn't shoot 3's all the time.

I was just spoiled grew up watching Reggie, Mark Jackson, Rick Smitts and the Davis brothers. Insert SF here, Jalen, Chris Mullens, McKey, Persons, Detlef, etc...

Anyway I don't believe the run and gun is ever going to bring us a tittle. Or anyone else. Play-off basketball is about Defense and making adjustment game to game its a chess match not an and 1 tournement

I like this trade scenario, but I doubt that the other teams were to be just as sweet on it.

Minnosta.....Who Knows maybe they don't like it

Cavs.... I don't see why they wouldn't be if they want a prototypical stretch Power Foward.

New Orleans....Reports are they are going to have to trade David West because they won't be able to move Peja or Okafor...I don't think we have anything to get David West but I would be happy with Okafor especially if we could move Murphy

Maybe if we are lucky we could trade Obie for mark Jackson while we are at it

The trade I'd like to make is one that would solve our Troy problem and the under-achieving Rushh problem.

Send Troy Murphy, Luther Head (to even out the trade $$ wise) and either our 10' or 11' first round pick to Detroit for Ben Gordon. Ben Gordon is siiiiick. I think that'd be fun to watch when Danny gets back.

PG- TJ Ford- Earl Watson- Price- Diener
SG- Ben Gordon- Rush- Dahntay?
SF- Danny- Dunleavy
PF- Tyler- Solo- McBob?
C- Roy- Jeff

Or you could slide Danny to PF and Mike to SF if thats what youd like to see, but I would not. Tyler is a good young player. Plus, he has def shown potential and flashes of talent.
I personally love this. And it works too.

I'd love this, and I'm a huge fan of Ben Gordon, but I can't see the Pistons doing this. I think the logic of them signing him was that they want to go with him long term and trade Rip when they can

Now, they might very well do this deal for Rip, but I don't see how this helps us much. He's owed more than Murphy, and he seems to be fading pretty quickly.

I agree that they probably are setting Gordon up to be Rip's successor. Also agree about the fading quickly part as well. I wouldn't wanna give up the 1st rd pick for a 31yr Detroit guy! Troy? Yeah, I'd be okay with that I suppose.
But, as we all know.. This trade wouldn't happen either. But Ben Gordon is still the man.

Ben Gordon is good but we wont get him....detroit wont go for it and yeah not willing to give up a 1st rd pick for a guy over 30....
