View Full Version : Non-Pacer trade

I've thought about a trade that seems fair for multiple teams but doesn't involve the Pacers... I think it would improve all three teams:

First, if I were the Wiz, I would call Chicago and ask for Hinrich for Miller. I really see Arenas as a SG and Washington seems to play better with a true PG like Boykins and the offense running through Butler and Jamison.

Second, I would see about Arenas for Hinrich and someone like Tyrus Thomas.

Last, I came up with the following trade involving three teams that I mentioned above:

Gets Antawn Jamison and Tyrus Thomas (Both fit the run/up-tempo style)

Gets Brandt, Kirk, and Joakim Noah

Gets Arenas and Speights

Fair deal (arguably) although none of these teams really significantly improve if you ask me.

I know we are dealing in "what ifs" but i dont see jamison or speights getting moved any time soon

Seems like deck chairs on the Titanic to me. I think Washington gets the worst of this deal.

Chicago really shouldn't think about trading Noah, and I don't think they are. He's definitely come into his own as a rebounding and defensive big man, and would be a nice fit next to virtually any power forward or center.
