View Full Version : Kind of early, but looking at next year...

Looking at the salaries next year, there are possibilites in which we might have a lot of space cleared up. As of right now, our cap right now is about 63 million. However, it could possibly be less than this.

People who could be affected next year:

1. Croshere. He has a player option next year, and if he takes it, he will still there for 2 more years with his big contract. However, in the rare possiblility that he opts out, we save a whopping 9 million.

2. Harrington. He may not even be here, and he has 2 years left on his contract. If we do indeed trade him, we will likely get someone else in return. Question is who.

3. Reggie. Most likely, he will retire after this year. If that happens, 6.25 million comes off the books. I think that is what happens.

4. F. Jones. There is a team option for him, and most likely we will take it, since we don't want a Boozer situation (and he will have high market value considering the MVP type numbers he will put up this year :flirt: )

5. Tinsley. I think he is a restricted FA next year. So most likely contract extension.

There is a possibility that we could get a lot of cap room. Or not. But something new to talk about.

That's bad, not good.

Croshere won't take his option.
Reggie will retire, but most of his money will go to Tinsley.
Freddie's waiting for a payday.

Our financial picture is not so good.
