Supposedly Stephen A. Smith was hearing the idea of a 3-way trade involving Shaq, and also us.

What if it went like this?

Indiana trades: PG Jamaal Tinsley (8.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 5.8 apg in 26.5 minutes)
C Scot Pollard (1.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.2 apg in 11.1 minutes)
PF Al Harrington (13.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.7 apg in 30.9 minutes)
Indiana receives: PG Mike Bibby (18.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 5.4 apg in 36.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -4.9 ppg, -8.3 rpg, and -2.3 apg.

L.A. Lakers trades: C Shaquille O'Neal (21.5 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.9 apg in 36.8 minutes)
L.A. Lakers receives: C Scot Pollard (1.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.2 apg in 61 games)
PF Al Harrington (13.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.7 apg in 79 games)
PF Chris Webber (18.7 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 4.6 apg in 23 games)
Change in team outlook: +12.2 ppg, +6.3 rpg, and +3.6 apg.

Sacramento trades: PG Mike Bibby (18.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 5.4 apg in 36.4 minutes)
PF Chris Webber (18.7 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 4.6 apg in 36.1 minutes)
Sacramento receives: PG Jamaal Tinsley (8.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 5.8 apg in 52 games)
C Shaquille O'Neal (21.5 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.9 apg in 67 games)
Change in team outlook: -7.3 ppg, +2.0 rpg, and -1.3 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Indiana, L.A. Lakers, and Sacramento being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Indiana, L.A. Lakers, and Sacramento had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Kings give up Webber and Bibby, but get Shaq and Tinsley

Pacers give up Tinsley, Harrington, and Pollard but get Mike Bibby

Lakers give up Shaq but get Harrington, Pollard, and Webber.

Lineups:

Bibby/Wright (AJ?)
Miller/Jones
Artest/Bender
O'Neal/Croshere
Foster/Harrison

Tinsley
Christie
Peja
Miller
O'Neal

Payton
Bryant
Harrington
Webber
Pollard

Wow, I dunno..... that seems like a lot for us just to get Bibby..... still, I'd love to have him here. That's a tough one.

Sacto gets the best of the deal, but its alright for Indy and LA.

Bibby >>> Terry :)

We know he can run an offense, he's a great 3 point shooter, and is clutch.

With him there's no worries about what happens to the team O without Tinsley, and he solves our problem of not enough scoring from the backcourt.

That's easily worth Tinsley and Harrington IMO.

true that Bibby>Tinsley or Terry or Crawford,

but our weaknesses are SG then C then PG, so I hate to trade our most tradeable player to shore up a position that isn't our weakest nor even our second weakest.

part of the reason SG is a need is because we don't get enough backcourt scoring. Bibby solves this.

I think thats a heck of a trade for everybody. Sure we lose Harrington and Tinsley, but Harrington was most likely included in a trade. So its basically Bibby for Tinsley. Boy o Boy. Can someone take this to all three Gm.

One statement though. If i were the Lakers i would want him out of the west. Heck i would want him out of the state of California.

Thats actually a pretty good trade for all three teams and actually could see happening.

Also, pacertom, with this trade we can still just sign S.Jackson with the MLE.

I'd be on board if S Jackson were signed first. I've always liked Bibby, before it was cool to like Bibby (his Memphis days too).

If we can also sign SJax...

C - Foster/Harrison
PF - O'Neal/Croshere
SF - Artest/Bender/JJones
SG - Miller/Jackson/FJones
PG - Bibby/Johnson/Wright

Not bad. Not bad at all. I could live with it. :)

Sure its ok but that is not going to happen. That is a huge trade.

Im interested to see what the other two teams think about this. Hicks you should try this trade somewhere else just to see.

Yea I think its a great trade for each team.

The trade seems fair to me and helps all 3 teams.

The Lakers might shy away from Webber though because of his injury issues. The manner in which Webber was dragging his leg in the playoffs he could easily have permanent long term damage. If he didn't come back completely healthy then it would turn out to be one of the worst trades in NBA history for the Lakers. Essentially you would have traded Shaq for Pollard and Harrington.

Actually this is the first deal involving Tins that I could swallow.

Thsi is the most fair trade I have ever seen for trades on fan forums. It is fair for everybody. Everybody gets value, it makes sense for everybody. You should really contact Larry or Donnie and "MAKE IT HAPPEN".

If not for Bibby, we should do it for Hicks being so creative.

Well if we get rid of Tinsley and Harringtopn for only Biiby I might have to become a clippers fan. :p

"Only Bibby"? You mean that guy who's better than either of those two?

:unimpressed:

Anyway, it's all moot now, Shaq's gonna be in Miami.
