I know a lot of you think we need to trade for a guy like T-Mac, Carter, Peirce. But what about this trade?

Al Harrington
Scot Pollard
for
Theo Ratliff
Travis Outlaw

It works capwise and think of our defense with Ratliff:o!!! We still need a SG, but I think Freddie can step in and play the majority of the minutes at SG. This would be the line up:

Tinsley
Miller/Jones(Miller would start, but Fred would get more minutes)
Artest
O'Neal
Ratliff

Portland has no reason to do this.

All we really need is a SG. If we can sign one outright, then I would consider trading Al for a C.

There are very few players I'm willing to let big pieces of this team go for. T-Mac was one of them.

SAR is probably going to get traded away, that leaves a spot at SF open. Daruis is a free agent but even if he did come back to Porland, he is not better than Harrington.

Yea thats right, Darius started at SF. I think Miles is a terrible player, he cant shoot.

Ratliff has more impact on a game than Harrington. I don't think that the trade is equal. They won't trade Ratliff because he allows Randolph to play PF.

Al Harrington
Jeff Foster
for
Theo Ratliff

????

I would do that, If we get Ratliff there is no use for Foster.

Ratliff and J.O. are the same type defenders. great off the ball, great in help. But neither is good guarding their own man.

You don't believe that, do you?

JO is a fine post defender against anyone not named Shaq or Dampier, and maybe one or two more guys with a traditional center's body.

I think Ratliff's a pretty good defender. And from what I hear he's as close to untouchable as Portland's got. They were VERY impressed with him.

Portland hasnt had a center that could impact a game since bill walton. I'm going out on a limb and predicting they wont trade him for another PF.

You forgot the Rusky.

Sabonis was 1/10th of his former self, even as a rookie. He was a decent-to-good player, but not an impact player like ratliff.

I put Sabonis is the same catagory as Sam Bowie and Kevin Duckworth: good, but not centers that could change a game.

As stated many times before already, Portland has no reason to do this trade. But if it would happen, I would love to get Theo.
