Change in team outlook: -1.8 ppg, -6.1 rpg, and -0.3 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

There were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to Atlanta and Dallas being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Atlanta and Dallas had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I wonder what the Mavs will look like at the beginning of the season. :hmm:

As for the Hawks, I think it's a good trade for them. Josh Howard looks like he'll be a pretty solid player in the future.

.......................................

This is unreal. I was almost convinced our deal would happen.

Ok. someone on the hawksqwuak board posted it, while someone on a dallas board posted it as well. But. i didnt hear it personally. They are talking like it could just be bogus too. :unimpressed:

If this trade is true, watch Jason Terry flourish in Dallas.

Actually the trade is pretty clever. I would be stunned if Dallas was willing to trade Josh Howard though.

Yeah, I envision him being like Nick Van Exel of the year before last, being almost strickly a shooter.

This may be ********. There's nothing on ESPN.com, and some on both boards are questioning if it's real. I have ESPN radio on now, and if there's nothing during their next "sportscenter" segment, I call this ********.

ESPN News is not saying a word nor is it in the crawls at the bottom of the screen

Hicks

OK, here it is, listening for the news now......

Nothing. Absolutely nothing about this trade. I call ********.

Well, my mom had just mentioned to me that Mark Cuban was supposed to be on Dennis Miller's show tonight, but he cancelled. I said he's probably busy with a trade.

I've never seen Terry play defense once since he graduated, so he'll fit in just fine in No D. And, to the consternation of all you Terry fans, I'm going to start praying this is true.

Keep praying. It's false. I listened to ESPN radio, and they ran through their sportscenter segment, and nothing was said. That's where this allegedly came from, and ESPN radio cycles this kind of news all night. It's BS.

You may yet have to suffer with him in blue and gold.

The trade doesn't make sense for the Hawks. Why would a team rebuilding want Walker? Unless its because his contract is running out...but to trade Terry for a save money? I don't buy it.

I agree 100%. Hes one of the most overated players in the game. He won't defend, hes usually in poor shape, very turnover prone and all he cares about is shooting the 3pt shot. Its a shame because he could have been a special player especially at the powerforward position where he would have been a nightmare to guard with his low post game, ball handling and quickness.

I think if I was Atlanta and was looking to rebuild I would much rather have Harrington and Tinsley then Walker.

Walker's ending contract is a big time commodity. They would have no problem trading him for any number of good players.

Jeez! A rumor comes along and Hicks reports it as false and people just ignore him.

I think Hicks is right!

That's way to much for the Mavs to give up for Terry!!!!! (Henderson don't count)
