Teague wants to be a Pacer. Said he shot well. Reggie fan growing up, would love to play for his hometown team. It'd be nice but 13 seems too early. He has a lot of potential. It'd be cool to finally get one of the good Indy HS players (McRoberts doesn't count).

Figured I'd start this and people could link as the other interviews pop up. JT's is the only one up now.

EDIT: http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/dejuan_blair_2009.html
Blair's is up now.

Jrue Holiday: http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/jrue_holiday_2009.html

Toney Douglas: http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/toney_douglas_2009.html

Goran Suton: http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/goran_suton_2009.html

Ty Lawson: http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/ty_lawson_2009.html

Just out of curiosity, why doesn't McRoberts count?

I wish they had the transcripts like they have in the past.

even if this kid (teague) was not speaking highly of the pacers, and dreaming of becoming one...i like his demeanor. seems composed and mature...

Haha because I knew him in high school...he's a better guy now than he was then. And he wasn't as hyped (IMO) as a future NBA star as the others. I thought he'd be a good college player, but not a good pro. He has changed his game and become a very good energy/hustle guy who I hope the Pacers keep as a reserve. But I never considered him a future "star" like I thought Conley, Oden, etc. I even liked Courtney Lee in last year's draft if we could get a mid-late 1st.

i felt the same way...

from reading up on teague he seems to be a tweener...i dont know if he is what we need ....sometimes its hard to tell...i think courtney lees mentality is his best asset...and mentality is what kept b rush in a shell for 3/4 of the year (or not starting). this year's the late 1st rounder that i think will be a steal ...and its funny because i have disliked him his entire collegiate career is tyler hansbrough...he seems to have a lot to prove...

wish i went to school with future nba guys...must be cool to see them grow up

#13 is too early for Teague. It would be nice if a team later in the draft picked Teague and we made a trade for whoever we picked for Teague and another....Kind of how Bayless trade went

Some very interesting comments from Lawson. Mentions our interest in him last year, and Bird calling and advising him not to come out, that we had been swayed not to pick him because of that incident. Also thinks he'd fit in perfectly and be the missing piece to our playoff puzzle. Seems pretty mature, well spoken. I'd be ok with us taking him (which was not true at the beginning of this whole process), so long as we have a trade that we'll make with TJ.

Ty also mentions Holiday as a player that has caught his attention. I'm personally intrigued by Holiday's reputation of being good defender with good size. I'd love to have Holiday with the 13th pick.

Me too. Just don't think he'll be at 13...

Jrue is up. Very mature, really liked what he had to say. Said he felt very comfortable in the Pacers system. Still doubt he'll be there at 13, he has too much upside to slip. We'd have to move up I think.

I wish I could have seen the workouts...

Suton being brought in as a guy with legit size to bang vs. Blair, see how he'd do facing a 6'10" guy every night.

Holiday and Douglas, two of the top perimeter defenders in college going against a lightning quick scorer in Teague and another quick, savvy vet PG in Lawson. I'm sure the Pacers got some good info out of the workout and will make a good selection on the 25th. James Johnson also worked out against a variety of sizes to see how he would handle the 3 or 4 spot. I personally think it will be one of JJ, Lawson, Blair, or Teague. I don't see Holiday slipping.

Suton may be someone they invite to training camp. Douglas could be a 2nd rounder.

I like Toney Douglas. He wouldn't be a bad grab in round 2.

Teague is way up on my list - good size, athletic, and great character. I believe he has an all-star ceiling as a player. I can't believe some mocks have him out of the lottery behind Lawson and Flynn. I'd be really happy with him at #13.

Outside of Teague, Holiday and Jennings are obviously up on my list but I figure both will probably be gone.

I have no interest in Lawson, Flynn, or Maynor as I believe none have the potential to be better than our current PG rotation. If Teague, Flynn, or Holiday are gone, I would rather just take a safe bet PF like Blair or trade down for Hansborough.

I actually like Teague a lot at 13 as well and Blair if Teague is gone.
