I don't suppose they'll let the public in again, will they? :(

Hmm, no Bender. . . :hmm:

Didn't LB or RC say they wanted Bender to play on the summer league team this year?

I don't think the collective bargaining agreement allows for players that are not either

1. free agents
or
2. playing on their initial rookie contracts

to play in summer leagues.

Bender is not eligible to play. Isn't that right?

Bender is not on his initial rookie contract.

They're not going to make Bender or Freddie participate in the whole camp. They'll cut enough of those invitees before the summer league starts to make room for them....

Some of those names on the roster are very interesting, and some surprising. I like the combination of veterans and "rookies."

Exactly. Also, don't be surprised if the vets don't play every game when they get to...where are they playing, Utah?

This isn't that team. This is a few days before that. This takes place at Conseco.

Other than the two we drafted none of thse guys will make the roster.

Remember how well Carl English and Omar Cook played in training camp? They didn't make the roster. They weren't great but better than almost all of the guys who will play on the summer league team.

Thank goodness we are not combining a roster again, like last year with Philly.

Bye Bye Brewer!

EDIT -

And wasn't Art Long the guy who punched a policeman's horse when he was at Cincinnati?

University of Cincinnati players Danny Fortson and Art Long were busted for being disorderly, intoxicated and slugging a policeman's horse.

Not sure which one allegedly threw the horse punch.

They were acquitted. (was the judge a UC alum or a Huggins drinking buddy?)

Haha. I thought that was him. I'm pretty sure Long punched the horse.

We could use a horse-puncher on this team. :disturbed:
