Man, it would be great if both Wallaces (Ben and Sheed) decided to hang 'em up this off-season. Two of my least-favorite players in this league.

Well, that would further screw Cleveland, as it would destroy his only useful purpose: as a big expiring contract to use as trade bait.

Of course, Cleveland doesn't really have anything else to put with that expiring, but Ferry can't consider this particularly good news. (Not a loss on the floor, but that's $14mm of dead cap space.)

I agree, but I'll one up ya and say they are my two least favorites in the league.

I didn't have a problem with Tayshaun, Rip, or Chauncey. I actually like all 3 of them. But I despised the Wallaces during those series and still do.

Think Ferry would convince Ben to delay the official announcement/filing of papers til next year?

Well...in a league where Mark Cuban can trade Keith van Horn's corpse for Jason Kidd, I doubt this would be a problem. I'm sure Danny Ferry and Wallace would work something out.

No surprise there. First off Cleveland wasn't the place for him. He wasn't used as much as I'm sure he would like.

I'm with you on that Shade that they're probably my least favorite players in the league.

Possibly were my least favorite players in the league.

They'll have plenty of cap space once King James vacates his Cleveland throne;)

Is that possible?

Saw this featured on "Inside the NBA" after ECF game 5. I'm surprised they got away with it without having to issue an apology.

It sounds like Ben wants a buyout.

He thinks he deserves a buyout. Why in the world would he deserve a buyout? What a messed up mentality these guaranteed contracts create. If he doesn't want to play then he should retire and forfeit his salary, or if he's really that badly banged up he should seek a medical retirement.

Actually, now that I think about it, they're probably my two least favorite players in the league as well. Kobe would probably come in #3 on that list.

Finally. Ben Wallace is truly one of the worst players in the league for the minutes and recognition he gets. He's horrible. And he's the reason our team got hijacked by suspensions and we didn't win a ring. I like Sheed, but I absolutely hate Ben Wallace.

Ferry will have to do something this summer. He's got Snow and Wally coming off the books, but still has Big Z and Wallace's deals eating up about 25 million in cap space.

My guess is that Ferry talks to Wallace and his agent, they work out a trade to a team looking to shed some contracts and Wallace gets a buyout elsewhere.

I think Cleveland is looking for a big and there should be plenty of players available via free agency or a trade: Shaq, Chandler, JO, Dalembert, Zach Randolph, Boozer, Kaman, Camby perhaps, maybe Rasheed among others

I could even see LeBron attracting someone like Kidd, AI or Marion to Cleveland for a one year deal. Should be fun!

Yeah, had nothing to do with the fact that that team was full of ********.

This is the segment on TNT's "Inside the NBA" that started all this Cleveland stuff for those who didn't see it. It's main purpose is to introduce Mike Polk doing one of his "Hastily made videos" of the TNT crew.
