Hey, I know it's a long shot, but the last time an all american power forward from Oklahoma entered the draft, the Pacers got him. Wayman Tisdale. After the unfortunate passing of Tisdale last week, how sweet would it be for the Pacers to, against all odds, nab that top spot and take Griffin, who was reportedly close with Tisdale? Maybe it's fate.

count, Indy, somehow you two have interpreted this:

After the unfortunate passing of Tisdale last week, how sweet would it be for the Pacers to, against all odds, nab that top spot and take Griffin, who was reportedly close with Tisdale?

into this:

Boy am I glad that Wayman Tisdale kicked off so now the Pacers can win the draft lottery and pick Blake Griffin.

That isn't what I or anyone else said or even thought about. So stop it, it's insulting.

There's really no reason to say scathing remarks to people for simply saying they hope against all odds for something good to happen to the Pacers. No one thinks their chances are probable. If you don't hope for the best for your team no matter the odds than what's the point? There's only so much math can show and the fun of daydreaming the Pacers winning the lottery isn't one.

no one said his death was a sign blah blah blah ...

I brought up an article saying griffin wore tisdale's number in honor of him throughout college , and I was comparing that as a sign the Pacers might get lucky .. seeing as how we got a lottery pick and had drafted Tisdale , and I made the comment alluding to the effect ,that hopefully Tisdale bestows some luck our way ..

That is all..

Hey, are you guys seeing Bruno's live blog on Pacers.com?

http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/lottery_blog_090519.html

Check out some of these quotes from Bruno:

[Comment From Luke (Evansville, IN)]
I agree that SG and SF currently is thin, but wouldn't it be smarter long-term to just re-sign Stephen Graham for slightly above the minimum or a vet like Quentin Richardson than to spend a first round pick on a guy that we will probably only need until Dunleavy returns? I mean when I think about first round pick, I think about the big picture.
8:21

bruno: Keep in mind, there's no guarantee Dunleavy will return.
_________________

If the Pacers don't move up, do you think they will try to trade the pick away for a proven player like Boston did for Ray Allen?
8:22

bruno:Given what's likely to be on the board at No. 13 and their primary needs, I think if they don't move into the top three, they'll be likely to trade down.
_____________________

Bruno, do you think there's any room for some trade magic out of the Pacer's camp to get another young vet or proven star on the team? With Granger's recent rise in status, it seems we're one to two top players away from a deep playoff run.
8:29

bruno: I have no doubt Larry will be every bit as active, and successful, on the trade market this year as he was last summer. He's got more chips this time around and doesn't need to rebuild, just tweak.

Interesting

I dont really understand this. What does he mean by "hes got more chips this time around"? From what I understood of it, I think it meant that Bird has more tradeable assets compared to last summer. I dont think thats correct. At least last season we had some good expiring contracts with Rasho and Quis. The only 2 tradeable asset we have now are #13 pick (which isnt really good), Ford and Foster

We dont really have players with less years in their contracts. Dunleavy, Murphy, and Tinsley all have 2 full seasons remaining and no one is going to touch their contract this summer (possibly next summer).

less years in their contracts and more value(Murphy, Rush,Roy) remember that is only two years, there is more than one team I think, that would love to have or rent a player for two year.
