ok. i posted this in the Dampier to Griz thread, but i wanted to get some action what others think if this possibility. With the idea of Damp going to Memphis it made think i smell a 3 team trade that nobody saw coming.

GS signs and trades Damp to Memphis for Bonzi and filler and in turn GS trades Bonzi or Richardson to us for Al or Artest...obviously with fillers included to make it work.

It makes sense because GS would be able to then trade with us and keep a SG whether it be Bonzi or Richardson.

I smell a typical Walsh trade that nobody saw coming. Funny too because its between GS and Memphis, both teams that have been in discussion with Indy supposedly. Something is cookin

Maybe.

At this point, I just want something to happen. Already tired of waiting.

I don't want *that* to happen. I'll wait for something better.

i just think this is typical Pacer style to pull out something nobody really saw coming or at least a different version from what most may have thought.

Plus this is one fo the few deals i have seen that makes sense for all teams involved.

Also, i know nobody here wants Bonzi, but he may be just want the pacers want, because he would be willing to come off bench for one more year so that
Reggie can finish his last year as starter. Makes more and more sense to me.

whats wrong with that. And what exactly is better. Al for Bonzi or Richardson. Please that is the best value we will get for him.

Um, so we'd trade Al or Ron for someone to come off the bench? Someone who's not an immediate contributor? So Larry is willing to wait one more year after this to be a serious contender? :unimpressed:

Not trading anyone is better than adding Bonzi to the team.

I'd consider Ron for Richardson, but so many Ron supporters would bellyache about that one that we should just pretend I didn't say it.

well i am assuming if Bonzi came here, his minutes would be much like Als. Al was a bench player but still played 3rd most minutes. If it was Richardson which i would rather see, then I doubt reggie starts. Hey im not saying its going to happen, but it seems kind of ironic, the two names and teams we have heard most about lately are nwo being discussed trading amongst each other.

If the rumor of Artest for Bonzi is true, what would you guys think of this?

To Indiana
- Bonzi Wells
- James Posey

To Memphis
- Ron Artest
- Scot Pollard

I don't like this trade even for us put if Indiana is really serious about Artest for Bonzi I want James Posey in the deal. I think he will keep on imporving too. He's a great defender and improving his shooting. Really athletic. Bonzi, well he can provide some scoring and is a pretty good defender. I don't have a problem with him now that I saw him in Memhpis, he showed that he is a decent person.

This makes sense for Memphis too. They get Artest who everyone wants. A great defender. Also clears the glut at 2-3 for them although they still have some young guys there still. Pollard would be awesome there because he excels in the running style and they need a true center, thats Pollard. He's a bad ***.:D

Why the hell would the Pacers want Bonzi Wells?

He's not as good as he thinks he is.

The more this summer goes on... and the more I get to think about the available players... and what we probably will get for ours...

I'm beginning to think no moves is the best move. Or at least no more than one move...

I just don't feel comfortable about any of the proposed trade ideas I've heard this summer.

rommie, James Posey played fantastically for the Grizzlies last year. I don't think Jerry West will let him go.

Rommie wants to get rid of Artest BAD, so he would just throw him in about ANY deal if he were the Pacers GM I am beginning to suspect:mad:

While I agree with you , I think you know I am a Ron supporter and I dont want to see Ron Go but if we are going to Trade Ron , I would happily accept Jason Richardson ;)

Sorry, I would not support that. Richardson is good, but either we net more for Artest, because he's just worth it or we keep on trying to keep Ron with the program here. You dont let this guys "just" walk for Richardson or .... christ BONZI WELLS????????:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Al for Jason or a SG a la Leonard or Hassel is fine with me. But, Ron should net us MUCH more.

Scream all you want , I would rather give up ron for Jason Richardson , than Ron for Bonzi Wells

If you would have too the time to read what I said I don't want ron traded , but I am not gonna argue why ron should stay ..it's just a waste of my time.

Maybe you should go by what I actually posted instead of what you think I posted.:)

I said if, key word being if, if Indiana was serious about Bonzi I would want James Posey.

Here is a 3-team trade I have thought about. I'm not sure if it would work salary-wise however.

Indiana Trades to Toronto:
Al Harrington
Fred Jones

Toronto trades to Orlando:
Vince Carter

Orlando trades to Indiana:
Cuttino Mobley
Kelvin Cato
