All I know is....this game is a must-win for any sliver of a chance still remaining to get into the playoffs.

I would love to see this as a playoff intensity game. //End sunshine.

pwee31

Biggest game of the year.

Yeah the Pacers need a minor miracle to make the playoff, but you want to at least keep yourself within striking distance and hope other teams can help you out.

If the Pacers can somehow put together a nice winning streak for the FIRST time this season, it may be enough to get us a spot. The lost at Chicago hurt, but thanks to an unlikely win from the Raps.. we have a chance!

I expect us to pass the Bobcats who have a tough stretch of games coming up, and probably pass the Bucks as well.

We could be 3 1/2 back of the Bulls after the night, and the Bulls have a friendly home schedule, but they play teams that still have something to play for, and that may be able to pull off a few wins

Bulls still have the Nets, Knicks, Sixers, Bobcats, Pistons and Raptors

The Pacers have one extra game remaining over the Bulls, so we would have to hope they lose three of those games, and we win 3 games those same nights, plus one. We really can't afford to lose on a night when they win

This game means a lot to me, but only because of a bet.

If the Pacers (31-43) end up with a better record than Milwaukee (32-43), I get a steak dinner. If the Bucks prevail, I'm buying. I for one am looking forward to the last game of the season. (Bucks at Pacers)

I don't care if it's only 3 games, Brandon Rush has arrived. I can just see it in his body language.

As much as I love Dun Dun, he's gotta be a 6th man if healthy next year. Rush's defense is needed in the starting lineup

Pleasant surprise to me, that he seems to have taken some guidance from JOB to heart, as far as style of play goes. There's been a definite difference since the argument with JJ.

Man, I dont get to see too many Pacers games, and the only reason I can watch this is because I am in the Chicago area, but Granger is really going to have to work on his D if he wants to be an elite player. If not, he'll just continue to be a Rashard Lewis-level player. And I am VERY excited about Brandon Rush's future. I know he's been playing very well as of late, but he has a burst of speed on his drive that no one else has.

i hear ya with the calls. i hate it as much as anyone.
however, i would like to add that i think hibbert could use extra muscle. i understand he will never be as agile and athletic as dwight howard however, i think he could use some more beef on his massive frame to help him because it really looks like to me that he is a bit underpowered to move around and jump like he could.
i think if he could add about another 15 or so pounds of quality muscle, it would make a big difference in that dept.
btw, i also think mcbob could use some more work in the weight room too. his upper body looks pretty soft and i definitely think it could help him too.

From what I remember the Bulls announcers were huge homers. Hell, I remember last week when LeBron got hit by someone, because he RAN INTO the player, the Cavs announcers were demanding it be called a flagrant and said LeBron was, "attacked."

There is some funny stuff you hear from the other team announcers when you have League Pass.....

well.. some of us see that special something in him .. and have confidence in his potential ...

EVERY game he has played any significant minutes in ..(minus 1 game he fouled out quick) .. he has been a game changer and played with some freakish athleticism ......as well as played above the rim ...

I like McRoberts, but why he does not play is simple. McRoberts has not been on the floor because 1) two other PF's are on the roster who are paid 10 times as much and 2) Josh is young, raw and needs development. Another factor may be the importance JOb places on offense vs defense. Let's just say JOb likes Murphy.

Anyway, it's pretty clear the Pacers would win more games this year with Foster instead of Josh. Less clear that they win more games with Murphy. Neverthless, Josh is playing right now because Foster is not available.

I'm looking at the box score now and I guess he went 10 for 15. I could have sworn seeing him miss three or four straight possessions though in the fourth quarter. Regardless, allow me to retract the above statement in light of his final shot.

His defense was still poor, but then again it was Derrick Rose.

I watched that play carefully to see what kind of play JO'B called. Nothing was happening then TJ penetrated and shot the ball. I didn't see it go in and was "calmly" questioning Ford for that shot. Then I see everyone jumping around and Ford hit the shot. I still would be interested in what play O'Brien had called coming out of the timeout. Whatever it was wasn't what happened. The end result is what counts, but it had Tinsley deja vu all over it.

Get off it with the Tins comparison...If you mean JOB couldn't draw up a play that worked and the point guard had to improvise then i guess you'd be right. I'm really not sure what you would want Ford to with the clock running down, but I'm pretty sure he did what every other point guard in the league would do, get in the lane and make something happen yourself. Tinsley didn't even have that little fade away shot that Ford can get off.

Anyway, good hard fought win for the Pacers. They fought hard and stayed in the game the whole time. Good to see McRoberts get some good minutes. I thought he played well and certainly hustled for all 18 minutes that he played. I hope he gets some good minutes the rest of the season. He may turn out to be a decent backup PF down the road.
