I really want us to win tonight. However, we MUST GUARD BABY AL AND DAVID LEE! Shut Lee Down.

Huge game, teams are 2-2 this year head to head, tie breaker on the line. If the Pacers win they will move into the 11th spot, which is pretty big too.

I bet Obie goes small and doesn't start Hibbert because they start Jeffries at the Center. Instead of turning Roy loose, they'll play small ball again and let NY dictate matchups.

Roy started the last time we played in NYC.

CableKC

Roy started the last time we played in NYC.
Like that would matter when we play the Knicks. I wouldn't be surprised if Baston plays more minutes at the Center spot this game then Hibbert does and I can't wait to see the Diener/Ford/Jack/Marquis/Murphy lineup :suicide4:

Playing against the D'Antoni's Small ball lineup is just another excuse for JO'B to go Small ball...where we play down to the Knicks instead of forcing them to play up to ours.

Does anyone know if Foster is playing?

Roy started the last time we played in NYC.

I vaguely remember that, I think they had him on Lee. I also think he went out early and I can't even remember if he came back. Last game against the Knicks he played 3:24, he had two fouls, one point, and 1 blocked shot. Didn't start.

Game before that, he started and played 11:22.
10 pts
4 rebs
2 Blocked shots
2 fouls

This is what I fear. Burying Hibbert always hurts more than it helps. Alot of close games we've lost we could have used him out there at the end dominating the paint while the other team is running small getting easy layups.

It makes me wonder...since Steve and Barry's went out of business, who is selling Starbury shoes? Well, the Starbury website is now!

Wow, what a team. Two of it's players both have their own line of shoes and apparel.

Wow.....if Ford is out...that means that JO'B may actually be forced to use the Big Men in the rotation....since there are only so many PG/SG/SFs that we have....or worse......JO'B will go total small ball with a Diener/Jack/Marquis/BRush/Graham/Murphy/Baston lineup where they will all play 30+ minutes a piece.

T.J. Ford can be rather exasperating.

Yet, he can also be a key factor in winning games.

Earlier in the game against Chicago, I was thinking: "Didn't we get rid of Jamaal Tinsley?" So many times, TJ comes up and runs around and throws up some junk without ever looking at another teammate. Yet, he does have the ability to make great passes and does so once in a while.

But here's the real deal: our offense is in pretty bad shape without him out there. Yeah, for a while Diener makes some things happen, but mostly what he can do is get a guy open on the perimeter. He can't penetrate, make things happen, score inside or hit a guy after going to the basket. TJ is pretty effective at this. Without him, we just don't have that ability to score at the end of games when defenses lock down.

Sometimes we still can't. Yep, every now and then (sometimes more than that) TJ drives into traffic and throws up ridiculous junk. But it's the better alternative to not having him out there.

I don't like it, but them's the apples that have been dealt to JOB.

I don't dislike Baston. He plays hard, he gives everything he has but...

He is the least talented player on the team.

He is the oldest player on the team.

He will never be on the team next year.

It just doesn't make sense to try to steal minutes with him instead of giving Roy more time and or getting McBob any time at all.

If Josh isn't going to play tonight when Granger, Dunleavy, and Ford are all out, and Marquis is playing sick, when is he going to play?

The offense is struggling right now, guess that's what happens when you're without you're starting 1-3 in the lineup!

I just hope we keep it close... this could get out of hand.

October?

That's certainly the way it seems to be headed. JOB clearly hates playing rookies. Fine, its his job to win games, but they complained that Josh was pretty much still a rookie this season because he never really got a chance in Portland last season. If they have any desire to keep Josh around (my best judgement says I would guess that they would like to) why not play him now?

I said this earlier in the season, and got lambasted (that happens a lot a round here) but I'm going to say it again.

It is entirely plausible that they are not giving McBob a chance so that they don't have to worry about him playing well and his price going up after the season. By keeping him on the bench, they are keeping his value down.

I don't understand .. If I were coach , my MAIN thing I would be concerned with is getting someone to work with Roy on how to properly position himself to stay away from drawing fouls against himself... We CLEARLY need to invest in a big man coach.. It would help Roy so much ,that it would amaze people...lol

It should be the number 1 priority this summer... period

It is clear no one is working with Roy on this aspect of his game, because He is a quick learner, and would have done improved on it IMO ..

What Roy needs to do is step aside when someone is driving the lane, and come from behind and swat the ball from the side or behind..

I'm just going to come out and say it:

This team is better with Quis than it is with Dun.

Btw, that "foul" when Speedbag got the board and lay-up off of his own miss is one of the lamest calls I've ever seen.

The difference between Granger & Quis is that Danny does it every night not every fifth game. That said I'd keep Daniels over Dunleavy if it was at all possible. It's not though so I doubt we'll see Quis next year. I'd rather have a Quis, Danny & Rush rotation @ the 2/3. You'd have offense & defense there. Another problem with Daniels has to be injuries and off-court distraction though, right?

Tied at halftime at the Garden without Tj, Dun, and Granger!

I hope the Knicks keep missing their jump shots

We need to hit the boards a lot harder.

With Rush struggling, Diener and Jack in the backcourt with Quis at the 3 might be our best offensive lineup today.

Quis is a baller! When healthy the guy can flat out play... showed it in Dallas, and we've seen spurts of it here as well. Health is definitely an issue though

Hope Murph can make some shots in the 2nd half

I still feel Rush's offense may be the deciding factor in this game. If he starts making shots and can give Quis and Jack a breather... we have a chance.

Harrington and Nate appear to be the Knicks that have it going... we need to keep them cool, and not let the other players get going.

Keep fighting boys... 3 in a row is in our sights with Memphis at home coming up!

I wouldn't mind keeping all 3. IF Healthy that's a solid rotation.

Looking at the Quis expiring, he's most likely to go

Dunleavy's contract would probably make him the most popular pick for the one that needs to go, but I haven't forgotten how good he was in the system last year when healthy.

As for Granger... I'm not sure why he's even up for consideration. The question should just be Quis or Dun.

If I had my choice, I'd keep all three for next year

I'd start Quis at the 2, Danny at the 3, and use Dunleavy as a Ginobli, Jason Terry type and have him be one of the to 6th men in the game

Danny can beat Chuck Norris at Guitar Hero.

Defense: Absolutely not. All season, Danny has been extremely lackluster on defense. He could be a premier NBA defender if he tried to be. He just hasn't put forth the same effort on the defensive end as he has on the offensive end. He's a better off the ball shot blocker. That's it. A very small portion of defense. Marquis is so much better at on the ball defending it isn't even funny.

Heart: Huh? He has more heart? What?

Clutch: He's hit some big shots this year, no doubt. Can't take those away from him. There is more to being clutch then hitting shots at the last second though. Quisy was pretty clutch last night, and has been pretty clutch so far tonight carrying this team without the top scorers.

Outside Shooting: The only major thing. If Quis never shot another 3 all season, I'd hold a protest outside Conseco to demand they pick up his option next season.

Blocking: I'll assume you mean shot blocking? Like I said, the only portion of defense that Granger is better is coming off the ball and blocking the shot. A very small part of being a good defender.

Apparently, calls are made on tape delay when the Pacers are in the Garden.

I can't stand Nate anymore. He flops and flops all the way. I understand he's small, but he knows how to take advantage.

You must be a new Pacer fan.
