thats not true

How is it not true? It's Shaquille O'Neal. Why wouldn't they want OUR best big man in return?

If the Pacers offered their whole team for Shaq minus J.O., I don't think the Lakers would do it.

If the Pacers aren't willing to trade J.O they might as well not even call the lakers about a trade.

L.A. is gonna find out that nobody but NJ is going to give up their franchige player for Shaq.

We will give them Pollard and Croshere and two of our small forwards, their choice. That works, and thats about it.

Give me two good reasons Shaq would want to come to the Pacers.

Then, multiply the number of reasons by 3.

Then, multiply that by 10.

Then, divide by 60.

Then, subtract 1.

That gets you the exact % chance that Shaq will ever be a Pacer.

By the way, Diesel has two 'E's, not two 'I's. :P

I hate to be the bearer of negativity, but there is no way we will ever get Shaq. The cost would be much more than we could afford. We'd have to kiss every starter we have goodbye.

I don't want Fat *** Shaq , he makes too much money and he's just trying to get his last payday cause he knows in 2 years he will be less than he is and will get nowhere near 30 mill a year.

No sense in Getting Shaq if you have too chop up a majority of your team to do so , Wow we got Shaq but no one else that's worth crap to play around him ...Not the kinda dream team I have for the Pacers.

This brings up an interesting topic.

After Shaq is gone, the NBA will be much different. No "shift" in powers anymore.

Much more parity? :whoknows:

There will always be a shift in powers per say. It always happens. It was the east when Jordan was here. It was the west and still likely is for another year.

Now, it is going to be east again soon once teams get better. Indiana, Detroit, NJ, Cleveland, Miami are all the top teams I think. Orlando also has a chance to improve a lot more.

And I'm sure that some years from now, the west will once again be good.

yeh, there is no way we get shaq for anything less than j.o. and others. if this were shaq of 6-7 yrs ago, it might be a different story. but his salary is now at the point where it pays him (shaq) for his past accomplishments. 30 mil. for a guy who is only going to start slowing down from here? no thank you!

i wouldn't even trade j.o. for shaq straight up (if salaries matched) j.o. has a good long career ahead of him and shaq does not. there is a long time until next season and we will almost certainly see some big trade - a good trade.

I really don't want Shaq.

But I would be ok with him if we got him for a decent price.

Maybe 2 of are 3 SF, but that's it, with fillers of course.

The Diesel is running outa gas...
