Was having lunch with with my wife and in-laws,my wife and I showed up a few mins late and as we walked in I saw a guy with his family and he was kinda looking at my wife and I,and I thought in my head "hmmm, that guy looks like pollard".Well as soon as I got to our table my brother in-law says "thats scot pollard, remember he played with the pacers a couple years back".

It ended up that pollard was sitting right behind me,but I didnt bother him or look over.He was out with his family,I could tell he didnt want any attention. But I did notice he had on his Celtics championship ring. That was the biggest ring id ever seen.

Well..thats my story...kinda lame I know.

But it did suprise me that him and his family still live in Indy.

He still goes to a lot of Pacers games. I've seen him there quite a few times this year. He actually attended the second Celtics game with Jared from the Subway commercials. That was weird.

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I've seen him at multiple Pacers games, including the Pistons game last week.

Jared is a STH.

Also, Scot was a heck of a guy. He also was freakin' hilarious.

This topic makes me chuckle and think of Peck in the men's restroom.

Wait, that didn't sound right.

Pollard, his wife Mindy and their kids all still live in Carmel. You'll see him out and about at a lot of northside restaurants, bars, malls, etc. He's just being a full time Dad and hoping for a late season call or maybe even a 10 day contract once another player goes down with an injury.

As far as the Subway Jared connection, Scot became friends with WZPL Morning DJ Dave Smiley, who was friends with Subway Jared, thus Scot, Jared and Dave all are friends and hang out together.

A couple of other NBA players, including Austin Croshere and Zach Randolph actually live and own houses in Indy area and are here during the summer. Others like Oden, Conley, George Hill, Courtney Lee, Carl Landry, etc. spend a little time here in the summer working out, etc as well.

I used to always see Pollard and Jared at Land Sharks. I remember on St. Patrick's day Pollard was wearing this giant leprechaun hat and looked ridiculous. He wasn't hard to miss.

Whenever anyone says they saw Scot out somewhere no matter where it was my first thought is always "Did you wash your hands?"
