Marc Stein of ESPN has been told that the Knicks tried to sell the Heat on a trade for Shawn Marion that centered around Eddy Curry.

Curry will make $9.7 million this season and his contract runs through the 2010-11 campaign.

Not surprisingly, Miami wasn't very interested in the deal.

What was Walsh thinking?

9999 times out of 10000, Riley says no.

It was worth the phone call in case it was #10000.

Maybe he should hire Kelvin Sampson to do the other 9999 follow-ups.

My guess is Walsh has called every team in the league trying to find someone who'll take Curry as long as the contract he takes back doesn't run past next season.

I'd say good luck except I never dreamed he'd find someone to take Randolph so who knows?
