Pavel, eh?

I would expect Dallas to go that route, if they think shaq isnt likely.

A solid big man for #5.... that's gotta be the first time something like this has been done. I'm sure whoever Dallas takes will be an immediate contributor.

Dallas isn't taking Pavel.
$5 is too high for him. Hes not even close to being ready to contribute. They'll use the add to a package to try and lure Shaq. If not they'll draft Livingston or Gordon.

Unless they trade Nitz and Nash for Shaq, then they would want a point guard and would more than likely take Livingston.

ESPN is reporting stackhouse and Lattener are headed to Dallas also.

Whoever they take will revolutionize whatever position he plays. :unimpressed:

Yeah, I think everything they do between now and whenever Shaq is settled somewhere will be with the intent of getting the Large One.

Cuban's just the kind of guy who could do it, too. And by "it," I'm in no way referring to his plans to purchase Fruit of the Loom and Viagra, to ensure that all the rest of the men in the world will suffer more "false starts" than he does. :uhoh:

from the article "Jamison's appeal to the Wizards is obvious. Instead of gambling on more youth at No. 5 with an inexperienced roster already, Washington gets an established frontcourt scorer who should contend for an All-Star spot in the East after accepting a bench role without complaint in Dallas"

Guess that's cuz the East is still so weak right??

Duh. The Pistons only won because of the NBA conspiracy against L.A.

Jamison, Hughes, Arenas... I recall a really bad 17 win team playing those 3 a lot maybe 3 years ago...

The host on Sporting News Radio was talking tonight like it was almost a sure thing that this #5 pick would be packaged with Antoine Walker, Josh Howard, Steve Nash, and a bench player

for Shaq.

That is apparently the goal. Get Shaq. Keep Dirk too.

You figure if Dallas got Shaq, they'd have a good shot at getting Troy Hudson for the MLE to replace Nash.

They could always just sign Fisher. And about 47 other tag-alongs who want to play with Shaq and get paid waaaay too much by Cuban.

True, I'd rather have a (healthy) Hudson though.

Shaq / Bradley
Dirk / L8
Finley / ?
Stack / ?
? / ?

An interesting lineup, for sure. If they picked up a decent PG with the MLE, they could really do some damage.

Dirk would be, by far, the best big man Shaq has ever played with.
